The price shown (taxes included) was not the amount I was asked to pay at reception. I have been using this app for years and have always paid exactly the price displayed at the time of booking, so this situation was completely unacceptable.

Despite clearly showing my booking confirmation, the reception staff refused to honor the agreed rate and insisted I pay a higher price based on their own system. I had booked two rooms at €56 (exchange rate of €1 at 4650Ar) per night for 5 nights each, yet was told to pay €61.64 (exchange rate of €1 at 5000Ar) per room instead.

This feels misleading and unprofessional.
Customers should not be forced to pay more than the confirmed booking price.
Extremely disappointing experience ; main reason I won't consider Trecicogne again.

I mean I did get the budget room so it was my choice but unfortunately I didn't sleep for around 3 nights because the room was just so so hot, then there was the mosquitos which they provide a net for however the top of the net there was a bunch of dead mosquitos and bugs which just put me off using it as they would all fall over into my room.
The food at the restaurant was also basic for a vegetarian, not many options.

The room was extremely hot. There was a fan to make up for this, but it made a tremendous amount of noise. So it was choosing between sleeping through the noise or the heat. Even though there was a shared toilet and shower, I was the only one staying there for that weekend. So maybe in the tourism season, this might be a bit of a hassle with other guests.

Matelas inconfortable, pas d’eau chaude, pas possibilité de paiement par CB. Une seule personne disponible jusqu'à 7h du matin. Donc petit déjeuner servi froid comme le café. Caractéristiques de la chambre publiée sur booking non conforme pas vu sur la mer..

Personnel du restaurant peu affable, toute petite chambre, pas de serviettes de toilettes (obligés de réclamer). Literie moyenne.

The rooms are quite dark, but that didn't matter so much, as we were only there to sleep.

And, though this is absolutely no fault of the hotel, bring ear plugs if you plan to be there over the weekend. Music from nearby clubs was blasting and thumping until breakfast. Again, this isn't the hotel's fault, and it seems most of the Morondava hotels are along this strip and would have the same issue. Ear plugs and white noise will be your friend.

The bed wasn't super comfortable, but it wasn't a big deal to be honest.
