I stayed at The Cheata Residence for a week in March 2026 and ended up extending my stay because I enjoyed it so much.
The accommodation was excellent. My room was huge and had a balcony overlooking the beautiful swimming pool, which made it a really relaxing place to stay. The shower was powerful and the bed was large and extremely comfortable—exactly what you want after a long day exploring.
Breakfast each morning was fantastic and included in the price, which made the stay even better value for money.
What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. A special mention must also go to the manager, who was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. From arranging transport and trips to offering recommendations and helping organise my onward travel, the level of care and service was exceptional.
Overall, I couldn’t recommend this property more highly. If you’re visiting Siem Reap and looking for somewhere comfortable, relaxing, and great value with wonderful staff, this is a fantastic place to stay. I would happily return.

I recently had a wonderful stay in Siem Reap and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The rooms were incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable — it truly felt like a peaceful retreat after long days exploring the temples of Angkor Wat.
The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even more special. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of options — fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day.
If you’re visiting Siem Reap, I highly recommend staying here. Comfortable big rooms, peaceful surroundings, friendly people, and great breakfast — everything you need for a perfect stay in Cambodia!

It’s a bit further from town, but the hotel has a tuktuk and a van and it’s very inexpensive to get into the old market/ downtown area!
I stayed at Cheata Residence with a friend and we had an absolutely amazing time. The hotel is quiet, clean, and very comfortable - perfect for relaxing after a full day of exploring temples and location attractions.
The room was spacious and well-equipped, the beds were super comfy, and everything as spotless. The conditioning worked perfectly, which as a big plus in the Siem Reap heart. The Wi-Fi as reliable too, so we could stay connected and share our trip moments in real time.
What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They arranged Tuk-Tuk for us, gave us great local recommendations, and always greeted us with a smile.
Highly recommended for friends, couples, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful and affordable place to stay in Siem Reap. We will definitely come back !!!

In general the staffs were friendly, and the owners, as well.
Location was outside the city, but if you're driving, it's ok.
There was lack of maintenance in the building and facilities. The swimming pool water had not been cleaned, and
chemically treated. There were algae formation. The water tank at the top floor was full of algae. Experienced itches on body after the first night of stay.
The fitness center comprised of a few pieces of old equipment which required repair or replacement.
The water served at the poolside restaurant was likely ground water, with unpleasant taste - they should install a water purifier. For drinking water, only bottled water should be served.
I have stay at Cheata Residence multiple times and every stay remind me why I keep coming back. The hotel consistency delivers a quiet, clean, and welcoming environment that's perfect for both short and extended stays.

I arrived with a sprained ankle. The care and consideration shown by the owner as well as Concierge Sam and the other staff made me feel really well looked after. I appreciated the quiet of the location being slightly outside the City but only a short taxi journey away. It's a beautifully built hotel with a calm oasis feel. I ate at the restaurant daily and enjoyed breakfasts and evening meals: fresh and well cooked. Really comfortable room with a huge bed and quality linens. Good sized balcony overlooking the prettily decorated pool. I really loved my stay here and hope to come back.
