Good place to stay if visiting the southern part of the Lake District
Pros:

The bedroom was spacious and clean. All the food we had during our stay was excellent. Quality produce and cooked to a high standard. Everything that was supposed to be hot was served piping hot.

Cons:

The mattresses on our bed had seen better days so we struggled to get a good nights sleep

Always a lovely place to stay.
Pros:

Great location and always friendly staff. Comfortable stay. Great car parking with cctv (we were on a motorbike so this matters a lot)

COMPLETELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Crooklands Hotel in Westmorland. Arrogant, haughty, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. 

In a lifetime of staying in Hotels good bad and indifferent all over the world, never have I felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome as I feel in this place.

In Reception and in the restaurant, the staff seem to think that the customers are a nuisance and the Hotel is run not for the customers but for the staff. 

Deeply unpleasant and offensive. Never will I stay in a Best western again.

Prime location, lovely set up of hotel and restaurant. Great stop off of M6
Pros:

Location, furnishings, room commodities, cleanliness, staff friendly and efficient.
Ability to take you away from the M6 and feel like you were in depth of countryside with a canal nearby.

Cons:

Was a small thing and would have spoke to reception about it if we were staying longer, cause am sure they would have sorted it. It was quite warm in room and windows didnt open fully.

Excellent as always. Ive stayed here on several occasions
Pros:

Didnt have breakfast. Location perfect for my needs. Very handy veing so close to M6 junction
