booking assistance in trying to resolve situation
Experience was extremely disappointing. We tried to contact the host on the day of arrival to confirm the key collection arrangements, but there was no response at all. When we reached the property, there was nobody there and no information provided, leaving us stranded on the street for more than few hours.
As we were travelling with a child, this situation was especially stressful and unacceptable. We eventually had to find another hotel at the last minute, which was very difficult because the area was largely overbooked.
We also encountered the same problem with two other apartments in the area: bookings were accepted, but the owners were unreachable. After contacting Booking.com support, those reservations were later cancelled as well.
This shows a serious lack of responsibility and communication from the host to both clients and booking. In all my years of travelling and using booking services, I have never experienced such poor handling of a confirmed reservation.
These are scammers, these numbers don't exist. Be careful!!!!!

I had booked the apartment solely because it stated there were 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed, only a sofa.
This was misleading and I would not have booked if I knew there was no sofa bed.
I ordered 2 dishes to be delivered to my room from the menu. The staff brought them up very quickly, the food was still hot and delicious. The area is very luxurious and secure, the building's security guard was very enthusiastic when helping me carry the souvenir box to the car even though it was very big.
