Food was good in restaurant although not the hottest.
Pros:

The room was a standard room

Cons:

I had to wait 15mins for a staff member to come back to reception. I also had leisure centre staff to try and radio them several times unfortunately there radio was sitting on top of the desk at reception.
Several people where also queuing after 10 mins
A coach party arrived when reception staff finally came back they actually asked me to wait while they sorted out a full coach load .

Way too loud, dingy, but at least it was clean.
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

Wifi didn’t work, and we really needed it! And it was so incredibly loud. The beds had one flat pillow each and the place was quite run down

Overnight stay staff friendly but wouldn’t return
Pros:

The staff very friendly

Cons:

The location and the look of the property, was staying in an attic room which was nice but to get there walked past an obvious leak in the property which was damp smelling and rotten

Good location to explore area
Pros:

Location was great, room was comfortable and a good size. Room was clean. We couldn’t really use bar facilities as I had a child with me and no under 18 license but it looked nice inside. Good location for bus stop and train station.

Cons:

It was noisy in the evening as people using the beer garden but only really until closing time.

Nice and clean room
Pros:

Beautiful and large room well furnished and clean

Cons:

Mind you there’s a pub downstairs and can get a bit noisy at night….

Good rooms, location disappointing...
Pros:

Clean, comfortable and well decorated. Nicely lit.
Overall a good place for the money.

Cons:

Shower faulty (worked but only from switch outside bathroom faulty switch on shower. Toilet roll holder snagged constantly, had to faff about to get any.
Located above beer garden on a Saturday night wasn't brilliant as people were there, at their loudest, until midnight.

Good enough for a quick stop on the NC500
Pros:

Great location and comfy bed.

Cons:

Not simple to find as there isn't a proper reception. You have to pass by the Commercial pub and we arrived around 8:30pm when the pub was already full of young people celebrating the Celtics win (unfortunately they were loud and til around 1 am). In the bathroom bin there was trash from the previous guest, so the cleanliness should deffo be improved.

Quality stay at bargain price.
Pros:

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent quality. The lady member of staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

The hotel doesn't have it's own parking but it wasn't a problem as we were told where we could park when we checked in (on the street a few steps away).

Very clean very cheap lovely stay
Pros:

Cheapest place I could find for the start of my John O Groats to Lands End bike ride was able to keep the bike in the room which was two rooms one with bed the other with coffee and tea and a nice seating area next to the bathroom which was very clean. When you look at pictures the building looks old and run down but the insides are very nice and for the price I was very happy indeed

Cons:

Clean room friendly locals greeting me at the door as said the room was really nice with it's two rooms the view was of the beer garden so that's a shame
