Pros:

The garden and pool area are well taken care of and you are surrounded by beautiful nature. We enjoyed the pool so much, it felt like a small oasis. The staff is friendly and the Sri Lankan breakfast was great.

Perfect place to land in Sri Lanka 💗
Pros:

The team were so amazing. Super helpful with tips and booking, to the point where we literally changed our two week itinerary thanks to Sanjay and it worked out so much better. Such an interesting person to chat to and a lovely setting, great pool, beautiful places to run and walk out to the lake. And totally delicious breakfast included as complimentary. Thank you so much we loved it all!

Great stay, would recommend!
Pros:

Set in a lovely location, with a great pool and even an outdoor gym. The breakfasts were authentic Sri Lankan food and the host was super helpful to organise our onward travel and activities while we were there.

Cons:

The bikes you can borrow could do with an upgrade but they were free to use. It is a bit too far to walk along the road to the main town but you can get tuk tuk easily.

Great value accommodation
Pros:

Sigirya Cottage is set in beautiful grounds with a sparkling swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. The manager and his staff are super friendly and they do everything possible to ensure your comfort. The breakfasts and dinners are absolutely delicious and unbelievably good value. We tried other places close by to eat but none were as good as the onsite restaurant at Sigirya Cottage. This place is highly recommended.

Pros:

We had a very good time and everyone was just kind. We got plenty of Information and also used the free of charge bicycles for a trip at the area. We also were offered to participate in a nice ‚honeymoon‘ trip which was also a very nice oppotunity. Overall a nice family athmosphere

An absolutely perfect place to stay in Sigiriya
Pros:

Our stay here was wonderful! The owner Sanji took care of us and made our visit so easy and memorable from the moment we landed in Colombo. They arranged transportation from the airport to the hotel and then transportation to any of the activities we wanted to do while in Sigiriya. They had great recommendations for food and activities and helped schedule some truly once and a lifetime experiences like a local village tour which included a boat ride and a lunch cooked by locals.

Sanji organized a safari trip for us with Thinila at the nearby eco park. He was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable and we saw tons of elephants very up close! Definitely ask for him as your guide if you are doing a safari.

The property is incredibly well kept and clean and the pool was great! We would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a place in Sigiriya. The location is great as well! The restaurant at the cottage was also exceptional. Definitely plan to eat breakfast there every morning because it was so good!! Thank you to Sanji and the rest of the staff at the cottage!

At first glance you could easily be disappointed as everything is quite basic. But you can’t help warm to the genuine h

Good size and clean pool. Gardens and care of grounds. Support and genuine care of the owner.

Cons:

Lacked soft and practical touches such as bedside lights, seating, mattress protectors (only one sheet on top of mattress. Air con too cold and couldn’t adjust no blanket first night.
