Charmantes Grandhotel
Pros:

Es handelt sich um ein klassisches Grandhotel in entsprechendem schlossartigen Gebäude. Hervorzuheben sind der originelle Kneipp-SPA mit zwei malerischen Schwimmbecken, die schöne Terrasse, der sehr aufmerksame Service (betrifft: Auto, Gepäck und vieles mehr). Die Gäste sind eher reifere Jahrgänge, was den Vorteil hat, dass man gutgekleidete Menschen antrifft, die sich zu benehmen wissen. Hier ist es nicht nötig, per Handzettel darauf hinzuweisen, dass man zum Frühstück und Abendessen bittschön nicht Shorts und Schlappen tragen möge. Im Speisesaal wird man nicht von unerwünschter Musik aus schlechten Lautsprechern berieselt, sondern erfreut sich an den schön gedeckten Tischen, der Aussicht, an dem guten Service und dem hervorragenden Essen.

Cons:

Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was einerseits den Old-Style-Charme erhöht, andererseits den Gedanken aufkommen lässt, dass einiges modernisiert werden müsste: Teppichböden, Lift und Armaturen. Die Freundlichkeit des Besitzer-Ehepaares, der schöne Speisesaal sowie die gute Küche machen es dem Gast leicht, über die kleinen Mängel hinwegzusehen.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service, Man hat alles was man sich wünschen kann und teilweise Qualitäten, die ich von anderen Hotels nicht kenne (z.B. frischer Überzug für das Kopfkissen des Lesesessels im Zimmer - sehr einladend). Die persönliche Betreuung durch die Eigentümerfamilie und dem Personal ist excellent.

Cons:

Einzelne Installationen im Bad sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

The hotel exudes an old world charm in the best sense of the word, both in terms of service and in terms of the property and its amenities. Its owner, Herr Holzbock, takes personal responsibility of the wellbeing of his guests and seems to know every one of them - a rarity these days! The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet and serene location near a forested area, but still within easy walking distance of the center of the city and the train station. Breakfast buffet is superb, and the service is first class. The spa area is amazing and includes three saunas, a steam bath, a salt bath, and a relaxation room. It is uncrowded and totally peaceful. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and do plan to visit again.

Fitness room is on the small side, with dated equipment.

We will be coming back again.
Pros:

The hotel has a very "homy" and private atmosphere. All is clean and well thought-through. The service and personnel's attitude are excellent, pleasant and forthcoming. The meals are great, both at dinner and for breakfast.
The SPA size is not big, but sufficient. All is very comfortable.
