We were coming to the end of our 1 month expedition through India. It was hot and I saw the picture of the pool and thought, Okay this could work - a bit of respite from the April Rajasthan heat. We got dropped off in the taxi and were met by the very friendly staff. We did the paperwork and walked through the lobby - Boom! a beautiful crystal clear pool! Our daughter - whom we surprised, was over the moon. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bathroom was perfect. Modern and a great shower. The grounds were beautiful - grassed area around the pool to have breakfast or lunch/dinner. A cafe with great snacks, and a restaurant with great food. Now, like I said. We'd done a month in India and stayed in quite a few places but the Mahendra Prakash topped the lot. And it was very reasonably priced. It was like finding an oasis. I know I'm going on here but I've been to India 3 times - all over, and this is by far the best place I've stayed. The staff were very attentive and the owner and his family made us feel very welcome. If you need a place to stay in Udaipur, close enough to everything you need, but away from the hustle and bustle then this hotel is for you.

It is a beautiful property. Feels like home away from home. The staff is sweet, and you can find the owner around on campus most of the time making sure the property is well maintained. Breakfast was good too and though we were there in winter and the pool was not usable at the time, it looked clean and functional. The in house restaurant is a plus.

This is an old mansion which has been restored and kept updated to meet modern living styles but yet has the old world charm, with very helpful and pleasant staff. The rooms and attached bathrooms are adequate but small in size. The buffet breakfast was hearty with a good variety and food during dinner was well prepared and tasty.

Tolles Hotel mit schönem Pool und Restaurant mit leckeren Gerichten.

Really lovely hotel with spacious, pretty rooms. We received a warm welcome in excellent English and felt valued customers The reception rooms are attractive with interesting vintage toys and photos. Breakfast excellent, supper very good also. Cake from the cafe an indulgence, do go to the counter to see the fish tank/well. Walkable to the palace, temple and lake so a good location.

The property was very clean, and the ambience was peaceful and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my stay here with my family. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Would definitely love to visit again for staycation.
