Lakeside Lucerne

It was advertised lake view room, but the only room which was open, there is no lake view from the room.
Lock box code should have been given me when I booked, not when I left USA as almost every one will not use USA phone but will buy local SIM card. Lock need to replaced as one can only open or lock with little twice. I am 74 years old and with heart problem, it was nightmare for me to climb 46 steps and bring all 4 suit cases up though lift is there at the property, but land lord says that use of lift is only available when he is in the property. Air bnb sign board should be clearly visible, at the moment it is hidden behind the plant. Wi-Fi pw should also given when I booked , not a day before when I do not access my emails due to the fact I use only local phone. If possible land lid should have enough lighting on stairs as it is very dark and it is not safe for an old man, since use of lift is prohibited unless owner is present at the property. There is no doubt, property is excellent and with a very good lake view, but the room available to me was not a lake view though it was advertised that it is a lake view room.

Our room has no cabinet for our clothes … There is a cabinet but full of the owner Things . First time we experience about it. There was no kettle for hot water. We used hot water direct from the faucet. The owner was unpleasant.

Like some said in the comments, it’s a shared apartment instead of the entire apartment. Though we got our own room and bathroom, we were quite surprised to know we were paying a high rate for not the whole space only after the booking. Maybe the description needs some adjustments.

- Es geht leider, aus laut Gastgeber technischen Gründen seitens Booking.com, nicht klar aus der Beschreibung hervor, dass es sich nur um ein Zimmer und nicht um eine ganze Unterkunft handelt. Dies erfährt man leider erst nach der nicht kostenlos stornierbaren Buchung. Da die Buchung zu dem Zeitpunkt bereits getätigt war, haben wir uns tatsächlich gar nicht mehr nach einer kostenlosen Stornierung erkundigt, und haben dann erst vor Ort erfahren, dass eine kostenlose Stornierung doch vom Gastgeber ermöglicht worden wäre, falls diese gewünscht gewesen wäre.

- Die Fotos der Unterkunft sind etwas irreführend, da ein Zimmer mit direktem Seeblick darauf ersichtlich ist, welches jedoch laut vor Ort erhaltenen Informationen nicht (mehr) vermietet wird. Wir waren somit etwas enttäuscht in dem anderen Zimmer übernachten zu müssen welches nicht diesen wunderschönen Seeblick hat.

- Das Bad ist leider nicht en-suite, so dass die Privatsphäre doch limitiert ist. Zudem zeigt das Badezimmerfenster der Gastgeber direkt auf die zum Schlafzimmer gehörende Terrasse, welche somit leider auch etwas an Privatsphäre einbüßt.

- Die Bettbezüge könnten erneuert werden, der Reißverschluss war kaputt, so dass die Decke aus dem Bezug rutschte, und im Zimmer waren viele Spinnennetze.

The only thing we did not like was there was no proper ventilation in the room. There is a door that goes out to the balcony. So, if you want some fresh air, you have to leave that open. Would say it is expensive but so is Switzerland (would not really complain about that).
