A fantastic stay with great food, a warm and comfortable room, an excellent location, and very friendly staff.

The dinner and breakfast were excellent, the room was comfortable and warm, the location was perfect, and the staff were wonderful. Everything was great.

Fantastic location, great Staff, it was perfect for our needs.
Pros:

We stayed here for a wedding a day later so location was key. The staff were amazing. Good value for money and it serviced our need.

Cons:

It was a little dated but an excellent hotel.

It was ok for what we needed.
Pros:

Close to where we wanted to be. Breakfast was good for a day on the mountain.

Cons:

Mattress needs changing. Door wasn’t very secure, you had to put the key in it to pull it close on the way out.
I emailed about some property I left in the room and still no response, 3 days now.

Last minute booking.
Pros:

Booked late with no problem. Checked in late at 10pm with no problem. Able to leave the car in the carpark for the day after checkout.

Cons:

Great value.

A Home from Home.
Pros:

Have visited regularly since around 2007 and it gets better and better.
A stunning location, very friendly staff and the food is amazing and so well presented.
A special mention to Andy behind a well stocked bar who makes us so welcome, cheers.
From Housekeeping to Chefs, Reception to Restaurant Staff, thank you all for your excellent service.

Excellent location and parking for a hiking trip.
Pros:

Location, warm room and hotel areas (it was minus 3 outside during my visit), breakfast, all very good. Cleanliness seemed high. Perfect for a hiking weekend. Evening dinner was average. Fantastic parking facilities.

Cons:

My room door was hanging off at the lock side: clearly the door had been forced open recently and not yet restored. Big disappointment was the lack of decent coffee and associated service in the hotel bar area. When I asked for a coffee at the bar after another freezing long hike, I was met with a disapproving look and miserable service from a staff, and informed begrudgingly there was only filter coffee, black. Which to be fair, I don't mind. But heck it seemed like I'd asked for something disgusting or illegal.
