Not worth it, stay elsewhere and use many of the free paths to the lake, and then go to a restaurant on the hill.
Pros:

Very beautiful rooms, comfy, cosy, quite a few geckos getting in through the window seals but that comes with the territory. Most of the staff were a delight and happy to go the extra mile. It was great to make free use of the kayaks too.

Cons:

I think there are lots of things that could change that would improve guest experiences at the hotel. I’ve got lots of experience in the industry, but regardless of that, whoever is running the hotel only has to ask themselves why a luxury hotel on a lake is so empty?

1. The restaurant should not position itself as a gastronomic experience, it should find something it can do well, and do that as much as possible. I would recommend either finding some higher quality ingredients (if possible) or changing the chef. Either way, the experience you’re suggesting does not find its way to the plate. I know it’s difficult because getting fresh produce is probably harder but some flat whipped cream, half a banana on some raw pancakes is a pretty poor excuse for a breakfast.

2. Be more conscious of the music you’re playing and the atmosphere you’re trying to create. You can afford a license to play something other than covers of classic hits, you have Spotify, you can do it better.

3. There was no light on the fire exit, which were the stairs you go down and up to get to the room, we nearly fell a few times.

4. When our guests walked through the hotel, they came to our room while I changed out of my swim shorts and into evening clothes. During that time (2 minutes?) we were visited by two members of staff, one who refused to accept my partner’s answer, and one who then told me I couldn’t do that, and that he ‘watched us on the cameras’ and he ‘knew the owner and he would be very angry’. I’m not sure if he was trying to threaten me, but it all felt pathetic.

I’m not asking for western hospitality, but I am asking for respect. Don’t try to intimidate us when we are your guests.

Cons:

The music was a bit loud and they allowed day pass people which made it very busy. The pool was very noisy because there were lots of kids. If you’re looking for a quiet place this isn’t quite the place for you. Our room was a bit noisy because we were below the restaurant

El desayuno incluian el jugo de naranja, el cual era un cargo adicional. La ubicacion es pesima, esta muy largo y un camino muy feo.

Cons:

No dejan ingresar bebidas y alimentos. Tiene una oferta limitada en productos para las tardes, si te quedas varios dias se siente limitado.

Cons:

La atención a veces un poco lenta en cocina. Y que si uno llega en la media noche deben de estar más pendientes de la entrada porq se van a hacer rondas de seguridad. Y eso lo deberian informar en recepción.
