Conversation and learning about Australia and Rockingham. Location. The views were great. Neighborhood was lovely.

Ever Ingham Views 2 nights October 2025
Pros:

Very quiet. Very clean. Air-conditioning in bedrooms. Beautiful big house, plenty of areas to get away from other people.
Fantastic big bathroom (shared between 3 bedrooms).

Cons:

I didn't like having to remove my shoes, but realised once I got inside the floors are covered in a thick carpet. I dont think I could ever used to it though.
The worst thing was the bedroom doors don't lock from the outside which means you cannot leave anything of value in you room if you leave the room. I mentioned this concern to the owner but he didn't respond, he just confirmed that yes there is no lock on the outside of the bedroom doors. There are people coming & going at all hours of the day and night. You don't know who's going in your room.

Good for one night stay if you have a car and you don't mind to share the house with other people.
Pros:

It's a nice house and neighbourhood.

Cons:

It's far from the city, we had to take a uber. We were hungry but there was no place near by within walking distance. There is no key for the room door, only a botton you can press to lock the door while you are in the room.
Over all too expensive for what you get.

Hostel-style house with big clean private rooms in a residential Rockhampton
Pros:

We have been met by the owner. He explained and shown us everything in the house. Also he offered to drive us to the train station in the morning if uber is not available. The house is located in a quiet residential area.
Be aware that it's not a hotel/motel, it's a shared house, all rooms share the kitchen and a lounge, at least one room (may be more) has it's own bath and a toilet

Cons:

We coudn't find any cafes or restaurants around.
