Not bad
Pros:

Easy access to the mall.

Cons:

Lifts have no ventilation or airway one morning i was using stairs from first floor to the firth floor because of the unpleasant fart🤢🤮 smell it had.

Defiantly coming back!!!
Pros:

The rooms are very neat and cosy😊 closer to the mall, am definitely referring frends.

Cons:

It was a short stay for a night. Room was a bit smaller for a family of four, but other than that the comfort was there.

Breakfast was good. Met all the requirements. Setting was fair. Room was clean and neat. Staff was great and assisted where necessary. Near restaurants and shop.

A home away from home
Pros:

Every time we stay at Hemingways , it is like visiting an old friend. The welcome is always warm and it’s lovely to see the same smiley faces 3 years on. The room we had was very spacious yet cosy - with great views. I love the proximity to the mall - reachable without exposure to the elements. This time we also used the gym. Compact but with everything you need. Thanks Hemingways for another lovely stay.

Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. Restuarant staff were very friendly and nice but poorly trained

Most rooms are smoking and when I asked to change I got told that the small number of non- smoking rooms were taken

Convenient for a quick overnight stay.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and good for a quick overnight stay just off the N2.

Cons:

They were painting and doing maintenance down the passages and outside the rooms so it was a bit dirty and not very neat. Passageways smelt like smoke.

Staff is really outstanding and so accommodating. Went out of their way to make our stay great!

Location is perfect, with the mall next to hotel makes things so convenient.

Cons:

Food, breakfast was very basic, but the little there was on offer is good

The hotel was certainly special because of its unique location,
it would be a great injustice if I don’t mention about the exceptional customer service of the hotel staffs who treated us like their own family

Cons:

In the room, between toilet & shower there is a drainage on the floor and it smell bad.

Our recent stay at Hemingways Hotel during the SA Regional Level 3 Swimming Champs was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless, comfortable, and welcoming exactly what we needed during such a busy and exciting time.
The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well-equipped, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. After long days at the pool, it was such a pleasure to come back and relax in such a lovely environment.
A huge bonus for us was the direct connection to Hemingways Mall. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn’t have to go anywhere we could simply walk straight from the hotel into the mall. It made meals, shopping, and everything in between so convenient and stress-free.
Breakfast and dinner were absolutely exceptional,delicious, well-prepared, and with a great variety to choose from. It truly added to the overall experience.
We truly had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting East London whether for events, competitions, or just a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back!
