Perfect Location: The hotel is in a prime spot, making it incredibly easy to get around, explore the local area, and access nearby attractions.
Spotless Accommodations: Our room was immaculately clean, fresh, and well-maintained throughout our entire stay. It truly felt like a comfortable home away from home.
Wonderful Staff: Every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful, welcoming, and eager to assist with a smile. Their excellent customer service made a huge difference.
Fantastic Dining: The hotel restaurant was a major highlight. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top-notch, and we looked forward to meal there again
The only minor drawback was having to carry my heavy luggage down a few flights of stairs to reach the room, which was a bit of a challenge.
Great location. The staff were friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable and spacious. Good breakfast.
The lighting in the bathroom was not the best - quite dim to be honest, the shower fixture/on-off valve was old, rusty and came off in my hand.
Location, service, general standard
Although not dirty, some areas looked tired and in need of refreshing

The bed was not very comfy.
I asked to pay during my stay but my request didnt get any attention
The reception team member (blonde, glasses, originally from Bulgaria) was extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early, which was a bonus. Breakfast was great. Brilliant location for station and town centre.
Fitted carpet in the room should not be a thing in hotels anymore, even in Britain. Also, the steps down to the bathroom weren’t ideal either.
Excellent location in the centre of Reading, opposite the station. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable and the shower was really good. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and a bath ! The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. The breakfast was wonderful.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Malmaison Reading for my business trip and was impressed by the exceptional level of service throughout my visit. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm, professional, and welcoming.
A special thanks to Stella, who made the experience even more memorable. Her friendly attitude, professionalism, and genuine hospitality stood out from the very beginning. She was attentive and helpful, ensuring every detail of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Her attitude is a great example of the service the hotel delivers.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing environment. Its location - directly opposite Reading Station and conveniently close to coach services to and from Heathrow - made it an excellent choice for my business trip. Over the last couple of months I have had several excellent stays at Malmaison Reading and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality service, comfort, and a genuinely welcoming experience.
