Great Location and Comfort, but Mosquito Issue Needs Attention
Pros:

The hotel is located just a few steps from the main beach, which is very convenient. The room was a good size, the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was also spacious. The small garden right in front of the door is very nice, and the breakfast area is pleasant as well. Breakfast itself was abundant and delicious. Overall, the property was clean and convenient.

There are many bars, restaurants, and shops nearby, all within walking distance, which makes the location very practical.

Overall, it was a good experience.

Cons:

One point I have to highlight, which was a downside, is the quantity of mosquitoes inside the property. It was impossible to have breakfast without being bitten, and even walking from the entrance to the door of our room—though a short distance—meant getting bitten by several mosquitoes. There were also many ants outside the room. This made it a bit uncomfortable because it was hard to fully relax and enjoy the common areas.

This issue could likely be fixed quickly if measures were taken to control the insects.

Pros:

Amazing location and lovely staff. Breakfast was great. The hotel seems to be undergoing some refurbishment so I can only imagine that it is going to get even better. Rooms are basic and could do with a bit of work so the improvements will be great.

Water pressure in the shower was very low.

Cons:

Rooms did not get cleaned during 4 day stay, not supplies replenished, no daily bottles water for kettle, no daily tea and coffee. Had to ask for toilet paper and broom to sweep floors

Pros:

We stayed three nights in Mirissa and this hotel. We really really liked the accommodation. The staff was great and very kind. We had it booked with breakfast and dinner and both meals were always fantastic! Dinner included a starter, the main course and dessert. The place is also located quite central and extremely close to the beach, which is great. Going to Waligama also only takes 10 minutes by tuktuk. Due to location, the service including staff, the meals and the nice room, we would highly recommend staying here during your trip to Mirissa.

Exceeding Expectations!
Pros:

Our stay was PERFECT! I don't have words to describe how amazing everything was at Anchorage.
Mr. Neranja and all the staff was the best surprise we had on our trip. They try to do everything to make us happy. They made dreams come true!
The food?! AMAZING! The chef is not only very kind but also cooks with heart. His food is full of flavours, simply delicious!

The service at this property was absolutely outstanding – the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any requests. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and provided a very comfortable stay. The location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes’ walk to the beautiful Mirissa Beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and sea without hassle. The surrounding area also has plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Mirissa. Highly recommended!

The rooms looked way worse than the pictures, there was dampness on the walls, rust in the bathroom and in one room the bed was broken and there were also several cockroaches.
