The hilltop view of this property is spectacular with ocean view rooms, infinity pool and the most amazing sunsets you will ever see. The pool has a wet bar you can swim to or just sit and relax with very friendly bar tenders and great drinks. There are a few floating lounge chairs. They offer a breakfast buffet each morning at the onsite open air restaurant that also has lunch and dinner with very good food and drinks. They have a little shop on site where you can purchase good quality souvenirs. Huge plus is that you do not have to drive your vehicle into town as there is a free shuttle throughout the day and night. The shuttle has two stops, their private beach, where you can learn how to surf, snorkel, sun bathe or have lunch and the other centrally located drop off spot is in the middle of town with proximity to different restaurants, drug stores, shopping, bars and nightlife. Tours can be arranged. The service was excellent and I highly recommend this property.

No todo fue negativo. La piscina es muy bonita, aunque presenta algunos detalles de desgaste en los azulejos. El desayuno es bastante completo, especialmente para quienes buscamos opciones tradicionales costarricenses, y el servicio en Langosta Beach Club fue excelente. Todo el personal del club fue muy amable, atento y profesional, y las instalaciones de playa se encontraban en excelentes condiciones.

Cons:

Nuestra estadía tuvo aspectos muy positivos, pero lamentablemente la experiencia desde el momento del check-in fue tan deficiente que opacó gran parte del viaje.

Reservamos esta habitación con más de dos meses de anticipación para tres adultos, específicamente una habitación con una cama king y una cama individual, tal como aparecía tanto en Booking como en la página oficial del hotel. Las fotografías muestran claramente esa configuración de habitación.

Al llegar, lo primero que notamos fue que el hotel no luce como en las fotografías. Se observan varios detalles de mantenimiento, pintura y desgaste en las instalaciones y habitaciones que deberían atenderse.

Durante el recorrido inicial de la habitación, el colaborador que nos acompañó realizó varios comentarios sobre la gentrificación y cómo a él “no le importaba porque le pagaban en dólares”, además de bromear sobre recibir propinas en dólares debido a su relación con Langosta Beach Club. Considero que un colaborador de un hotel no debería hacer bromas sobre temas políticos, sociales o culturales tan sensibles frente a los huéspedes.

Al ingresar a la habitación encontramos una cama king y una cama plegable de resortes, no la cama individual que habíamos reservado. Incluso era evidente que habían movido los muebles del balcón para hacer espacio para esa cama adicional.

Al consultar en recepción, inicialmente la supervisora nos indicó que ellos no manejaban camas individuales, explicación que resultó muy confusa considerando que tanto Booking como la página oficial describían exactamente esa configuración. Después de insistir y mostrar la información de la reserva, nos hicieron esperar varios minutos mientras consultaban internamente.

Finalmente nos indicaron que cambiarían la cama. Sin embargo, lo que llevaron fue una base de cama individual con un colchón mucho más pequeño que la base, roto, con manchas de humedad y evidente suciedad de almacenamiento.
