It was a university dorm room which was nostalgic for me as I attended that university 40 years ago!
Price was good
Pas d’avis
I arrived to find that air conditioning did not exist in the building. The room was 27 Celsius. A fan could be supplied but that would require a 20$ deposit. The solution was to pay another 45$ and move to the building with AC. This took time and energy when all I wanted to do was sleep. The person at the counter named Blessing was extremely helpful. Kudos to them.
The dorm room was very clean and quiet. We went to spend the weeeknd helping our son move into another dorm and watch some of the football practices.
The grounds were well maintained. Very easy to get around.
Front desk was amazing! Surprisingly the rooms were quiet & very comfortable!
Pretty pricey for one night's stay in a dorm with shared bathroom facilities.
Quick and easy check in. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Quiet surroundings. Would stay again.
Staff were very kind
Each person should get two pillows
we rented a fan which was great but only knew that through someone else that stayed at another university. Is this advertised?
The grounds, buildings are beautiful
Sweet and simple. Nothing fancy but if you are just looking for a place to sleep, it’s a solid spot.
Très bien.
Standard student accommodation. Nothing fancy but perfectly fine. Don’t expect luxury. Well situated and quiet. Shared bathrooms.
Good price good location. No A/c or screens over windows. only 3 Shared bathrooms 2 w/ showers per floor. No hot water at night or in kitchen located on each floor. Hall floors never swept or moped in over a month - only bathrooms. In room dusty inappropriate ventilation system left running constantly all summer - should be cleaned during summers.
It’s a university dorm with few amenities. Read reviews! We took a fan and a Kerig coffee maker- thank goodness because it was a hot night. Nice little kitchen area with microwave and full fridge with freezer. Exactly what we expected. Check in area not well marked but staff were very friendly. We are both alumni so it was fun to come back!
The shower water never got hot. Had to have a cold shower
Small bar fridge would work
Rien de plus qu' une chambre (sans air climatisé). Il faut être équipé pour profiter de la cuisine car il n'y a absolument rien. La serviette était cachée dans le armoire. Tout était très propre. Stationnement peu commode. Laveuse et sécheuse à disposition.
This is a pretty solid choice for affordable summer travel accommodations with one big issue.
It's a standard single dorm room with a bed, desk and wardrobe. There's a shared bathroom - two of them - and we were there with very few other people so there was no issue with waiting. There is a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer which we used to freshen up our cooler ice packs.
What's the issue? There's no air conditioning and no fans. And when we were there Nova Scotia was in the grips of a heat wave. We went out and bought a fan from a local hardware store so we could sleep. The good news is we were there only one night and we are now up one portable fan.
That said, parking was right by the building and the downtown strip was within walking distance (5-10 min). It's a great option, but book when the temperature isn't in the 30s, bring your own fan or prepare to sweat.
Price is great. Super safe accommodations. A little warm at night and hot water takes a long time to get to shower and even when it finally arrives, it’s like warm. Beautiful university campus and it’s very close to some great food and coffee choices, along with recreation.
Was exactly what I was expecting.
