Amazing location, great for short stay
Pros:

Location was amazing, short walk to Hoe, theatre, Barbican. Staff very friendly. Clean rooms

Cons:

Parking was a plus, but limited, had to double park in front or behind others and leave keys with reception, so they could move it if /when required. However, this meant there was at least some parking for £10 a night. £17 For 24hrs on the road side meters. Very steep steps to top floor.

Wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Location and general architecture - nice dining room which was open to congregate

Cons:

Stairs dirty - no parking for either of our cars despite others arriving after us being offered
Parking space ( as these had become available?) pillows uncomfortable and well-being centre/ gym centre advertised was actually part of another hotel and needed to be paid for

Very disappointing, save your money.
Pros:

Location is great.

Cons:

We had a superior double on the top floor. We stayed on a wet weekend and one wall in the room was very damp with water running down the walls. We asked for a new room on check in but the receptionist was not the least bit interested in our issue and said there were no other rooms available. We also had an issue with the shower door not closing so water leaked all over the floor every time you used the shower. The receptionist on check out said the property was old and what did we expect. The property is old which is part of its charm but some serious money needs to be spent on it to bring it up to a hotel standard that you would be happy spending money on. We will not be staying here again unfortunately.

Cheap but unfortunately not cheerful!
Pros:

Only the convenience

Cons:

Very dated, layout of the room in the basement which was dark and dingy. Having to pay for an overcrowded car park.
