Amazing surroundings and very relaxing
Pros:

Beautiful hotel , stunning location and grounds . Staff very friendly and helpful . Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Stayed for a birthday and they not only arranged for flowers in room that hubby had ordered but also put two delicious cupcakes boxed with happy birthday message . Evening meal and breakfast were beautiful , couldn t fault it.

It was the only time in N Ireland that a 4 star hotel restaurant disappointed.

Cons:

Dowdy, old fashioned and tired decor.
Polite but extremely poor service in restaurant: inordinate delays between courses despite prompts. Repeat requests for water and incorrect bottle of wine delivered , which we unfortunately neglected to note until after tasting. (It was of course £7 more expensive)

Lovely atmosphere, very pleasant staff and nice room.

Cons:

Dinner was served slow because of a tour group who arrived all at 7pm. The staff did well to try to keep all happy but they were under pressure to deliver.

Comfortable spacious room. Very good restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast). Absolutely beautiful gardens, a highlight of our stay. Overall, very good value, and highly recommended.

Waiting an hour for a table then waiting another hour for our drinks and being seated by the main stairs then being given same seats for breakfast even though restaurant was empty.
