Just a quick 1 night stay, it was perfect for that. It’s a very old pub but everything was really good.
Pros:

Tanya the bar person was really friendly and the locals. Great meals and lovely warm clean room

Good overall, but bring your own heater.
Pros:

Great location, walking distance to everything.

Cons:

The rooms had no heating, but did have electric blankets on beds. It was very cold the nigh tI stayed, and found myself in bed early to keep warm.

it was good to stay in a traditional Hotel and experience with no thrills or gimmicks.
Pros:

it was basic and it met my basic needs with a bed and a place to retreat from the business of the day. It also had the old-world charm of a bygone time when many country Hotels was the only way to travel. And the price was ok for what it provided.

Cons:

The room did not have a chair in which to just sit. and it could have done with a desk in which to work. As it was winter it also needed some heating. The Shower took a long time fort the hot water to come through and the shower could have been a bit more as it took a long time to rinse my hair of the shampoo and Conditioner.

Local drunks spoil a good stay and lie about us to distract from their harrasment of us.
Pros:

Everything was great until the last night. The door lock was dodgy but we got used to checking it. We had a good time until the last night.

Cons:

The local drunks made us fear for our safety on our final night. We barricaded ourselves in. We called for staff but the local drunks lied and said we were smoking in our room and the staff were far more concerned with that than with the fact that we had barricaded ourselves in and called local police for advice.

The door also didn't always shut properly. You had to triple check it. We left several hours early before check out.

Those drunks stalked us and watched for our return that night. They harassed us. We were terrified.

Great place ti stay.
Pros:

Just a great place to stay, very clean. The staff were fantastic, the meals were sensational.
Hotel at night comes alive with the locals.
Best stay we have had, we will be coming back.

The was nothing to dislike.

Pros:

The most welcoming publican and patrons I've ever met ! Meals are awesome, would highly recommend visiting this pub for a great laugh with some fantastic people and a good feed !
