Essential but comfortable and good value for money
Pros:

Hospedaje Gonzalez is located in a strategic area of San Pedro La Laguna. I had read previous reviews mentioning that the hospedaje was difficult to find, but I’m happy to say that this has improved, as there is now a large sign at the entrance of the street.

My room was on the top floor (there is no elevator), and while it was simple, it was comfortable. One thing to be aware of is that there was no hot water available.

This is a basic hospedaje, so it’s important not to expect a five-star luxury hotel. However, it offers excellent value for money considering its central location (just five minutes from the port) and the fact that a small breakfast is included.

Cons:

When I arrived, no one was available to check me in, and I had another commitment in San Marcos La Laguna. I managed to get the attention of an elderly woman who seemed to live or work there, and she kindly allowed me to leave my luggage in a room and return later to complete the check-in. That said, it was a bit frustrating because I had emailed in advance to let them know that I needed to drop off my luggage quickly before heading to the other village.

Op twee minuten lopen van de pier en midden in het centrum, zit dit fijne plekje met enorm gastvrije mensen. Je ontbijt op het dakterras met uitzicht op het meer.

Pros:

I like the view from the balcony and because it was close to everything, good breakfast (eggs, pancakes and banana)

Pros:

O melhor foi a localização, o quarto era bem simples e limpo, como está nas fotos. Custo benefíco muito bom.

Cons:

As janales do banehro não eram proprieamente janelas, e sim aberturas no alto, que não dava arra fechar. A noite a temperatura cai bastente e entra um vento frio, tornando o momento do banho meio ruim.

Pros:

Excelente lugar, con mucha calidez humana de parte de la familia que atiende el hospedaje, me senti en casa. Las instalaciones son muy buenas, limpias, comodas y con unas vistas increibles al lago, super cerca del muelle y de las zonas comerciales. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar para quedarte en San Pedro.

Great cheap place if you don’t mind loud music at night
Pros:

Excellent location very close to the boats and main strip. Free filtered water. Amazing price. Free breakfast with views.

Cons:

Very close to a loud hostel which plays music into the night. They don’t clean your room if you are there for a long time.

Zentrale Unterkunft mit traumhafter Aussicht
Pros:

Tolle Lage mit wunderschöner Sicht auf den See. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Es gab auf allen Etagen kostenloses Wasser und die Küche war zur Mitbenutzung. Unterkunft war sauber. Leckeres Frühstück

Cons:

Das Bad war etwas feucht vom Klima und ungünstig aufgebaut, die Toilette war hinter der Dusche gelegen, sodass wir immer durch dir nasse Dusche gehen mussten.
Die Party von Mr. Mullet ist bis 23 Uhr sehr gut zu hören, uns hat es aber zum Schlafen nicht gestört. Wir hatten ein Zimmer ganz unten. Dort hat man nicht viel mit bekommen

The close location to the dock is the only good thing about the property.

Cons:

Staff/owners are scammers. Uncomfortable beds and bed bugs! Unprofessional staff. No noise cancellation rooms. No back up generators for constant power outages. Everything was awful.

Nice and rough
Pros:

The main advantage of this property is its location - the higher floors have a really good view of the lake. The hosting family is also very friendly. Breakfast is good, though repetitive (each day the same). It is also reasonably priced for Atitlan, though the rooms are pretty basic. Good for a stay during which you want to actively explore the towns and mountains around the Atitlan lake. I generally think that San Pedro is probably the best dormitory during a trip to the region.

Cons:

There was an issue with one of the rooms - a previous guest damaged something in the bathroom and the first night I had to spend in another building nearby - despite the host's declaration, its standard was much worse than the booked room (dirty room floor and bathroom, a building and room in the construction stage). At night it turned out the door to the bathroom somehow locked itself and I had to go to the other building to one of my friends' room - a terrible experience and the host didn't even consider a partial refund of the cost. If it hadn't been for this incident, I would be really happy with this accommodation and the hosts, but unfortunately it left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

Pros:

Para lo que pagas, recibes un montón. Pasé tres noches en Hospedaje Gonzalez en mi propia habitación con baño privado. La cama és cómoda, hay wifi y desayuno rico de panqueques y plátanos.
Ubicación muy buena cerca de la muelle. Puede haber un poco de ruidode otros hostales pero nada malo.

Good location and facilities for money with lovely hosts :)
Pros:

Good location. Basic Accommodations.
Right on the main hill but good walking distance to most things.
Free breakfast included daily was good, nice terrace with view of the lake.
Friendly family run hotel.

Cons:

There’s some windows in bathroom that don’t close found some ants/spiders/bugs in the room which in that case is expected with the window.
