The bed was super comfortable
Old house but still full of charm
The staff is so friendly and accommodating!
House is organized and labeled so you don’t have to fumble around.
During my stay the property had an issue with the shower. There technically wasn’t any hot water. But the management on site alerted me of the issue and how to still be able to operate the shower. I only had a two night stay so this wasn’t a big issue for me.
The house was a great B&B, clean and refreshingly reminding me of a family value of taking care of family and guests.
A great breakfast and the host friendly manner that started the day off right.
La atención y las instalaciones
Todo me gustó
Super friendly staff. We had a great stay. Nice house with history.
Gostei muito da NIKA, dona do local. Pessoa muito agradavel, sempre disposta a ajudar e fazendo de tudo para tornar a visita a cidade de Buffalo a melhor possível. E ela conseguiu, foi tudo perfeito.
Hostess was enthusiastic and helpful with her time and recommendations. Her knowledge of neighborhood was helpful. The facility is 'textured' and has an interesting history. It's always good to support local efforts and those who want to improve the community. Breakfast was tasty and nice to be able to go on to our next adventure without having to find a place to eat.
Was a little more used than anticipated. If you usually stay at the Hyatt, this is not the spot for you
The best parts included the cleanliness, ambience and the friendliness of the staff/ owner. The breakfast options looked good. However, I had to rush out to the airport. So, grabbed a coffee instead.
There is nothing that I did not like per se. The bathroom/washroom is shared, but it did not cause me any delays. Like the rest of the facilities, it was clean too. While the location was a bit away from the city, it is still accessible, and would be a great location for any holiday traveller. Hosts could consider options such as bicycle rentals in the future.
Everything. But the staff was so very helpful and friendly.
I did not have anything that i did not like.
In a quiet neighborhood. Several restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of character in the house. The white hexagonal tiles in the bathrooms were the same as in the house in which I grew up in California. That made me pleasantly nostalgic. Host was very friendly and helpful.
This is not a "didn't like", just a caution. Plenty of free on-street parking available, but it's park on one side of the street half the week and on the other side the other half. The transitions are 6 pm Mondays and Thursdays. Well signposted, just take the time to read the street signs slowly.
The value for money was unbeatable! This property offered better amenities than many chain hotels I've stayed at. The property manager, Nika, was incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating; and so was the innkeeper, Catherine.
Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning with a rotating menu. There were delicious classics like bread, butter, jam, bagels, and cheese, along with fresh fruits (apples, bananas, oranges), avocado, and tomatoes. Beverages included milk, juice, tea, and coffee. The hot selections were equally impressive: baked beans, potatoes, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and bacon, all perfectly done.
The bathrooms were stocked with everything you could possibly need: shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, razors, creams, makeup wipes, and more. Honestly, the level of service and quality of amenities at this price point felt too good to be true, but my stay exceeded expectations. I had an exceptionally great experience and can't recommend this place enough!
The building itself is quite old, so if you're sensitive to the sound of creaky floors, this might be something to consider. That said, the bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep almost instantly every night.
The location might seem a bit remote at first glance, but I actually found that to be a plus. It's peaceful and quiet, and as long as you have a car, getting around is no problem at all.
