WiFi was fast and reliable, which was great as I worked remotely during my trip then kicked back to watch streaming shows with no buffering at all.
The room was very comfortable, modern, clean, and quiet. The location is excellent, convenient for both the airport and the main district. The security guard was also very helpful and friendly, which made a positive difference to the stay. Overall, the property itself is very nice and well maintained.
The payment process was confusing and quite stressful. I was asked to pay a 30% deposit via bank transfer to a Vietnamese account outside of Booking.com, which I did not feel comfortable with. As the booking was non-refundable, I did not understand why a deposit was required, as the property would receive payment anyway if I did not show up.
I had to send multiple messages to Booking.com to try to clarify this, but my questions were not clearly answered, which took time and added to the frustration. There are also widely known risks of fraud when transferring money outside of booking platforms, so this made me cautious.
In the end, the property agreed that I could pay in cash on arrival, which I appreciated. However, the process should be clearer and more secure to avoid unnecessary stress for guests.

Modern apartment of good western standards, almost new, spotlessly clean, good shower, wifi and aircon. Interesting location: it's a locals-only area: no foreigners, old Vietnamese people greeting curiously, kids coming to stare, etc.
** The entrance is through basement garage and the gate gets locked around 10pm. If you arrive after that, you are supposed to shout to wake up the receiptionist who is supposed to sleep on a couch in the garage. In a different apartment I had this kind of arrangement, but due to "unforseen situation" the receptionist was not there and I was left standing outside for hours. I'm not going to risk this happening again, plus I feel it's pretty bad that the apartment owner requires the (very nice) receptionist to sleep on basement couch probably every night. Just buy an electronic lock for the gate like others, or give keys with deposit. ** Extremely hard mattress even for Vietnam standards ** Very basic furniture, only the bed and a small table, hard halogen downlights, not cozy.
