Fabulous Rural Luxury!
Pros:

Rural luxury hosted by Fiona who is quick to respond, very accommodating and helpful. The Shearer's quarters are well run with attention to detail, spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful.
Chef's kitchen, comfortable and well appointed communal sitting, dining, kitchen and outdoor fire pit, bbq and decks.
Warm comfortable rooms, modern refurbishment and comfortable beds with crisp cotton linen and electric blankets.
Beautifully peaceful and a brilliant night sky. Oh the stars!
Near to great hiking, beaches and fossicking areas.
Self catering and rain water.
Highly recommend.

It was the perfect stop over. We stayed in The Wool Classers Cottage which was so cozy. It was fully equipped to suit our needs.

What a beautiful nature loving property. Close to local jetty and national park
Pros:

Owners amazing! It’s refurbished shearer shed. It has an amazing kitchen and common space but keep in mind u need to use these so if fully booked could be frustrating but there are other accomodations on the property and I have no doubt the owners will accomodate you. Excellent wifi so no Tv in room isn’t an issue. Lovely putdoor area to explore and a jetty and national park hike very close driving distance

Cons:

I did t dislike anything, however if there were a lot of noisy kids or adults it would not get the vote. This is just a consideration to check. We had the property to ourselves and was amazingly quiet. However if u have young kids then other family’s may be nearby with kids.

"Feel the serenity" at Icena. Our friend from the US refers to this property as "Yellowstone"
Pros:

We had a wonderful evening meal at the local hotel, several km away in Gladstone.

Cons:

I did know when I booked that the bathroom facilities were shared.

Icena is a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, with great parking, a friendly & flexible host.
Pros:

We really liked the accommodation at Icena, especially the heaps of parking facilities available. The owner, Fiona, was very friendly and flexible. We initially booked a family room with shared bathrooms, but after calling Fiona, she kindly offered us other options. We were very satisfied with the rooms we chose, which had an attached bathrooms.

Cons:

The only downside was that it is a bit far from the shops. If breakfast were provided, it would have been great; otherwise, we had to drive around 30 minutes to find local groceries.

The friendly hosts offered a cozy stay in a peaceful farm setting with all the essentials.
Pros:

The hosts were exceptionally friendly, and while the room was simple, it had everything we needed. The shared lounge and kitchen were well-equipped, and there was an ample supply of firewood for the outdoor fire. The setting was wonderfully tranquil, surrounded by the beauty of the farm.
