A disappointing stay in a hotel expected to be of superior value.
Pros:

Check-in was straight forward enough. It was right opposite the most fantastic Kassel Gardens, which was fantastic for this short stop-over stay in Kessel with our dog.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we were not happy at all with this stay. The room provided was unacceptably hot and very uncomfortable. We did not sleep well at all. The bedding was inadequate, the pillow to flat so I was unable to read comfortably in bed... Also, the view was very close to the back garden even when lying down in the very hot bed, and with a lot of people usng the small pool area due to the hot weather, we really had no privacy. There were no additional much-needed facilities in the room, e.g. no coffee machine or kettle etc. One might be tempted to ask for a reduction for this stay, had it not been for the Gardens, just opposite, which was our main focus.

Zeer mooie ruime kamer. Vriendelijk personeel. Kwaliteit.

Cons:

Niet alleen verbaasde het ons dat er slechts 4 scampi op het bord lagen terwijl op het menu er 6 stonden beschreven, maar bovendien kwam het aperitief pas na het eten aan de tafel en weigerde de garcon, die we reeds hadden moeten wijzen op het feit dat hij die blijkbaar vergeten was voordien, om hem te annuleren. De jongeman was duidelijk niet van dezelfde kwaliteit als het hotel.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, lebt aber noch immer von seiner Lage.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sein Vorteil, wenn man ruhig untergebracht sein möchte.

Cons:

In dem Zimmer fehlte eine Klimaanlage, was bei der hohen Außentemperatur schlecht war, zumal die Reinigungskräfte nicht den abschattenden Vorhang zugezogen hatten.
Das Wasser lief sowohl aus dem Waschbecken als auch aus der Duschtasse schlecht ab.
Die Koffer werden völlig zugänglich für jedermann direkt am Hoteleingang aufbewahrt = wenig sicher und völlig unüblich.
Im Hinblick auf den Zimmerpreis in einer Stadt wie Kassel war das Frühstück trotz individueller Zubereitung der Eierspeisen mäßig.
Zusammenfassend stimmte das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

A bit disappointed that hotel gave us different rooms from that we ordered
Pros:

Good thing is that it is a dog friendly place and you can take your dog to the restaurant for example. The room was quiet but it felt like nobody else were in that second building except us.

Cons:

We were given our rooms in another building. It was not what we ordered on Booking. No balcony, no elevator. We had to lift our heavy bags by ourselves to the second floor. However in the description of our room was information about elevator and it was actually in the other building as well as balcony. But we were sent somewhere else. We were a bit disappointed that it was done in silence. The other thing is that one of a bathroom sink was stuck and was unusable.
We had a dinner in the restaurant. I would not recommend a local kitchen. Probably it would be better idea to find another restaurant nearby.

Cons:

El personal mayormente pico entrenado y falto de supervision.
En el desayuno faltaban tazas pero la gerencia pretende que la misma persona registre la habitación de cada uno de los comensales.
La limpieza y cambio de toallas es opcional y a requerimiento expreso.
Con las altas temperaturas sufrimos la falta de aire acondicionado, una categoría superior lo tiene.
Por el costo, si bien esta ubicado junto al palacio, tendría mas sentido elegir un hotel de menor presupuesto en la ciudad y pagar los traslados, es una ciudad mediana con todo accesible.

Nach den Hochglanzbildern im Netz und der Einstufung 4-Sterne-Superior, hatten wir eine Erwartungshaltung, die in keinster Weise erfüllt wurde. Das Zimmer war altbacken - der Teppichboden schmuddelig - um in die Dusche zu kommen musste man sich durch eine enge kaputte Plastiktür zwängen usw. Man könnte jetzt mit dem Spa-Bereich oder dem Schloss Dinner weiter machen, das jede Kantine genauso gut hinbekommt. Fazit: wer 4 Sterne erwartet ist hier falsch. Wir möchten betonen, dass wir keine notorischen Nörgler sind, die in den Krümmeln suchen. Der Vergleich mit anderen 4- Sterne-Hotels lässt allerdings keine bessere Bewertung zu.
