I hate to give such a glowing review because we plan on returning and are concerned it’ll be full up. The Cual is in a great location just off the river and two blocks from the central mercado, a 10 minute walk to the Malecon and 6 minutes to the best taco stands in town. Our 1 bedroom was huge, with full kitchen and well appointed bathroom. My only complaint is there could be a few more kitchen supplies but that’s really a small quibble. The rooftop deck includes morning coffee, fruit and Mexican pastries, a couple or hammocks and plenty of lounge and seating with a decent sized pool and jacuzzi. The small staff and owner could not be more hospitable, friendly, helpful and, frankly, charming. By the end of our two weeks they were like family. People come from all over to stay here for months at a time and we can see why. We’ll be back.
The kitchen lacks a few amenities. Thinks like a lime squeezer, a knife sharpener and some storage containers would be great but, aside from that, the only thing we didn’t like is that we couldn’t stay longer.
We had all we needed and even more. Exceptionally friendly staff. Nice terrace with a pool. Peaceful location.
We stay here frequently, the rooms are amazing & clean. The staff are excellent and very welcoming. The location is great.
Perfection! Hidden gem and a walk distance from the malecón. Loved the space, the living room, the staff, the pool and jacuzzi, and the camera system that let you see from the comfort of your room if certain spaces were occupied. Went during rainy season so I spent a lot of time in the jacuzzi and spa! If this space is available book it!!

The place was way better than I expected. Heaps of room, a fabulous rooftop pool and just far enough out of the main center to be quiet but not a huge walk.
The Cuale provided many amenities and everything was well laid out. Comfort and privacy plus security.
The only comment is the lighting in the bathroom could be brighter, and perhaps add a magnifier mirror.

Slightly noisy at night time but that’s due to the neighbourhood.
Everything was wonderful. The rooftop pool area was incredible and my wife and I had it to ourselves almost the entire time because is still the low season in PV. The apartment was clean and well appointed. The location is near the river but a short walk to almost anywhere. We highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed, especially for the value. The staff, especially Lucy was also amazing and the entire team really wanted us to have a great experience, which we did.
As noted in other reviews, the neighborhood kids can get a bit loud, but this is a family neighborhood, so that comes with the territory. Bring noise cancelling headphones or earbuds and it will not be an issue.

What not to like? Apartments are spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and maintained perfectly. The roof top is quite nice and fully equipped. On top of everything, staff is AMAZING! If I could give a higher rating, I’d definitely would.
We felt so at home at Cuale. The space is beautiful, peaceful, green, and just a short walk to everything in town. Our room was clean and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. What really stood out was the kindness and warmth of the staff. They made us feel truly welcome. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Puerto Vallarta. We’re already dreaming about coming back!
We stayed four nights and very much enjoyed our visit. The facilities were very comfortable and well-maintained, and it was tastefully decorated throughout. The rooftop is a huge plus and very relaxing to hang out at. Jacob and all the staff were always helpful and accommodating. It’s in a very convenient location in Zona Romantica, slightly away from the busier roads. Most places we wanted to visit were only a 10-15 leisurely walk away. Ubers were affordable and easy to book for further trips out. We hope to stay again.
Not a fault of the property, but please note as this is a residential neighborhood, there is sometimes noise from the road including cars, music, and children playing. We expected this and utilized our sound machine. Ear plugs were also provided by the property.
