Calme, discretion et lieu exceptionnel
I went to a place that advertised a private pool, but there was nothing private. Everyone had their own room, and the pool was shared. The sauna wasn't working, and you couldn't use the jacuzzi until 10:30 AM. By 11:00 AM, you had to leave your room. There was no system in place. I've been to many places through Booking.com for enjoyable trips, but I've never encountered a problem like this one. They accuse you of theft, and I don't know what they mean. Even though I left the room and handed everything over, and it was fine, and I tidied the room as I found it, I admit I smoked on the balcony, and maybe the ash blew into the room because of the wind.🥹😱

The landlady is an interior designer and the house and garden are full of modern design - both in general style as in objects which you might partially buy. Still it is neither a museum nor a shop and there is no pressure to order. Service is comprehensive and very individual and - compliments - it has been a pleasure to enjoy a weekend escape there, offering much more than we had been able to use. It is a wonderful starting point for any activitites south of Brussels in particular visits to the historic places of Napoleons battle in the area of Waterloo, all offering very good insight into the historic context and developments in and for Europe - very inspiring and informative, we had no idea how much that would impress us. For Brussels itself it might be a bit remote bus still 'in reach' (with very good train link in walking distance to Brussels Midi - Central - North), and a valuable alternative to many offers in the city itself.
2 minor structural issues:
The center of Waterloo (a suprising choice of shops and more) is a 20+ minutes walk away. Few restaurants around.
The relative 'hot water pressure' in the bathroom needs to be improved - still it works if you have enough time to invest.
If that is all - it was - this is not a real problem!
Beyond that- a clear recommendation!
Alles goed uitgelegd en niks is te veel. Lekker stil en zwembad. Leuke verassing dat er een jacuzzi is.
