Excellent short stay in comfortable and welcoming hotel
Pros:

Very comfortable room, comfortable bed and bedding, nice view over garden at the back of the hotel, decent size bathroom with bath/shower combo. Nice welcome pack for the dog, and fruit for humans. Nice bar downstairs for drinks pre-dinner, dogs are welcome in one (very cosy and comfortable) area of the restaurant, very good food and decent choices both for dinner and at breakfast. Wark is a village on the River North Tyne, so a pleasant walk into the centre of the village and along the river.

Cons:

Nothing from our point of view - the stairs might be a bit difficult for anyone with limited mobility.

Very relaxing and very comfortable stay. Will definitely return.
Pros:

Breakfast was outstanding, very comfortable bed, staff really helpful and welcoming. Dark skies observatory was a very special touch.

Still a great hotel but not as good as previous stays. We would still return if we were in the area
Pros:

Lovely comfortable room and nice welcome pack for our dog. We attended the onsite ' Astronomy for Beginners' in the hotels dark sky observatory which my husband loved. The staff on reception and bar were really friendly and helpful and the hotel and bar area were spotlessly clean with good facilities.

Cons:

Not sure if the restaurant was short staffed at breakfast but the service was slow and the staff appeared to be stressed out trying to accommodate customer requests. We didn't feel like we could ask for anything else

Will certainly return the smell in the room must surely be a one off.

Super location in a beautiful area. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Cons:

A lovely property. Our only issue was there was a horrible smell in our room and we had to open windows wide to make it bearable.

Yes was ok staff Sunday evening and Monday morning could have been more pleasant
Pros:

Breakfast was ok did ask for crispy bacon and seemed to be ignored as came the same as my partner

Cons:

Attitude of serving staff on the evening of Sunday the 13th and morning of the 14th didn't realise a smile was extra to the senior waiting on staff no smiles just business like and it seemed as we were an inconvenience but on the Monday night and Tuesday morning it was quite the reverse and couldn't have been more welcoming

Great night away with friends.
Pros:

Lovely bar, bedroom was very comfy and spacious.

Cons:

Food wasn’t as good as I expected from the reviews. Pretty average for the money.
