Breakfast and dinner were lovely. Room comfortable with some nice little extras e.g the jar of biscuits and some dark towels for those of us who wear make up.
Comfortable bed
Would have preferred some decent French wines on the wine list but that’s entirely a personal preference.
Comfortable room, fabulous evening meal and superb breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had never taken our dog with us to a hotel before and found the hotel & staff to be very dog friendly which made our stay so much easier than anticipated. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Cosy and comfy as well as clean
Great location. Nice room. Lovely breakfast. Great for a stay with a dog
The staff were all really helpful and friendly. I was impressed by the many environment-friendly features of the hotel. The food (I had two breakfasts and one evening meal) was excellent.
My only slight criticism was the room decor - it was showing it's age a little, for example with some of the wallpaper starting to peel.
Food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly but hard to find on occasions.
Bar was often unstaffed and on a couple of occasions we waited quite a while for someone to turn up to serve us.
The village of Wark is quite isolated there is a pub, a shop and a coffee shop that closes at 3.30. When we arrived mid afternoon all we could get to eat was coffee and cake as the cafe was closing and there were no staff around in the restaurant.
