Fantastic location, home cooked food and host! They offer boating and kayaking right in front of the house. Everything was amazing and I would go back for sure

This Homestay was one of the best I’ve experienced in India. Karun is so helpful and really made our trip, he ensured every need we had was catered to, gave us advice on what activities to do and made sure to help us book. The Homestay is clean and such good value for money, I would recommend for anyone who goes to Monroe Island to stay here!

Very attentive & friendly host. Made sure we were happy the whole time :) food was yummy! organized a wonderful sunset & sunrise canoe & taxi. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ottima sistemazione per godersi la pace lungo i canali di Munroe Island.
Si tratta di una casa indipendente con un bel giardino, una bella veranda dove godersi l'ombra e il fresco, un grande salone con divani e il tavolo dove verranno serviti sia la colazione che la cena (se deciderete di approfittare della loro buona cucina casalinga). 3 camere matrimoniali con bagno privato e una cucina a disposizione con frigo e bollitore concludono il tutto.
Karun è un ragazzo giovane e dinamico, ci ha illustrato i vari servizi che avremmo potuto prenotare tramite lui. Abbiamo scelto giro in barca sia all' alba che al tramonto e devo assolutamente raccomandarvelo.
Non dovete perderlo.
Se preferirete potrete anche noleggiare biciclette o kayak.
Abbiamo sempre cenato lì in struttura e sempre scegliendo piatti diversi ed erano tutti molto buoni.
Per qualsiasi cosa poi Karun è sempre raggiungibile via whatsapp, molto comodo.

Très chouette accueil! Tout était parfait!

Wat een fijne en mooie rustige plek, een oase in de Backwaters. Het eten is zalig, zeker het avondeten wat je kan kiezen. De thali gemaakt door moeder van Riverrootsstays is echt heel lekker. Haar zoon Karun zorgt voor alles, hij is er in de ochtend bij het ontbijt en in de avond bij het avondeten. Je kan hem altijd berichten mocht je wat nodig hebben. Het voelt daarom net alsof je er met een paar mensen die er ook verblijven ‘woont’ in het huis. De familie woont een paar huizen verderop. Er is een keukentje waar je zelf thee kan zetten en een watertank hier kan je je waterflessen zelf bijvullen. De kajak tour met zonsondergang echt super door de Backwaters, zo groen echt door een oerwoud. Heel anders dan de Backwaters bij Cochin, waar we ook hebben gekajakt. Aanrader en Karun begeleidt het aks gids echt goed. Ook de boottocht in de ochtend was mooi en gevarieerd. Ook fijn. Je kan fietsen of scooter huren. Er zijn veel mooie vlinders te zien en vogels. Ook een mangoest gezien in de tuin die even voorbij kwam. Geweldig.
Een rustieke fijne plek.

Il cibo è molto buono la famiglia dolcissima,davvero un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo,atmosfera rilassante e posizione ottima.
I tour in kayak al tramonto e in barca all'alba sono indimenticabili. Soprattutto se andate in poche persone.
Abbiamo anche chiesto prezzi in giro ma il loro era comunque il prezzo migliore.
Karun il ragazzo che gestisce tutto è bravissimo, è un po' accelerato e ci tiene che fai tutti i servizi con loro, però è super efficiente e disponibile.
Davvero una delle migliori esperienze booking.

karun, the host, is a lovely guy that will make all your wishes come true! the home stay is very quiet, close to the river and they offer all the activity you might want to do in this area. Amazing food cooked by his mother in a very local and delicious way!

Все было настолько по домашнему уютно в этом отеле,как будто мы приехали домой и нас встретили как старых хороших и дорогих друзей😍🙏🏻Карен сделал все возможное,чтобы наше пребывание запомнилось навсегда светлой памятью🙏🏻♥️Еда была просто восхитительной,благодаря рукам матери Каруна.В следующий раз я обязательно вернусь именно сюда.Здесь царит мир и покой.Искренне желаю этой семье процветания и хороших гостей😍💕

The property is nice and economical, caretaker karun is also nice but there's not much to do and explore around, food options are also limited, went for a boat ride arranged by the property but I didn't find the boating experience that great!

The stay made us feel at home. Had an awesome Onam with pookkalam, sadya , boating , photosession and what not. Karun was superfriendly and he even shot an onam reel for us ☺️ Would recommend riverroots for all those who are planning to stay at Munroe.

Karun is a wonderful host and the property is absolutely serene and peaceful. It's right next to the canals and he will proactively arrange boat rides and food for you.

Nous avons été superbement accueilli !
Après notre arrivée nous avons fait un tour en bateau de 3h dans les alentours ! Vraiment super on a même pu se baigner, génial !

En fin nous avons eu un dîner frais et fait maison le soir Thali et poisson grillé : délicieux !

Great 3 days. Everything was arranged when asked, bike for rent, cycles, boating, bbq. It was well handled.
