Karun was an excellent host. Breakfast was delicious & catered to individual requests. Getting a boat trip & other travel organised from the property was easy with the help of Karun & his family.

Stayed at Riverroots Homestay in Mundro and it was a truly beautiful, enjoyable experience. The view from the property is absolutely stunning.

We really enjoyed the boating. It was peaceful and the best part of our trip.
Special thanks to our host, Karun. The service was excellent. He took care of everything for us and made sure we were comfortable throughout.

We maakten tijdens onze vakantie een tussenstop van 1 dag op Munroe Island om even tot rust te komen. De kamers waren netjes, de gastheer vriendelijk en het eten (zowel in de ochtend als in de avond) was heerlijk. We deden de boottocht ‘s avonds en konden genieten van een prachtig uitzicht en zwommen in het meer. Zeker een aanrader dus! Als je wat langer zou blijven, kan je ook nog een kajaktocht doen. De gastheer helpt met het aanbieden van activiteiten!

Loved the stay.. it felt very peaceful after a long..travelled solo and had a very good day at the riverrootstay and also the kayaking & canoi ride was superb!!

My stay at Riverroots on Mundro Island was absolutely wonderful. Host Karun made us feel like family from the moment we arrived — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring.

The place was spotless and well-maintained. Every meal was home-cooked, fresh and tasty.
We enjoyed a wonderful boating experience,which made the trip more special.
The peaceful surroundings, clean rooms.This trip one of the most memorable I’ve had. If you’re looking for a homestay that’s cozy, clean, and full of heart, Riverroots is the place.

Really nice host and super clean rooms.

A wonderful homestay experience in Munroe Island! The family was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the stay feel very personal. A special highlight was being invited to join them for a local temple festival with their whole family—such a unique and memorable experience.

They also serve delicious homemade food, and Karun was happy to arrange a peaceful boat tour through the baclwaters.

Die Unterkunft hat eine gemeinschaftsküche, ein Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer und Esszimmer.
Sehr sauber, sehr freundliche Gastfamilie, die uns mit zum abendlichen Fischen mitgenommen hat.
Die Mahlzeiten waren richtig lecker. Man sollte das Essen von dort in Anspruch nehmen. Kaffee und Tee wurde bereitgestellt, es gibt einen Kühlschrank. Host hat uns alle Aktivitäten geplant.

This Homestay was one of the best I’ve experienced in India. Karun is so helpful and really made our trip, he ensured every need we had was catered to, gave us advice on what activities to do and made sure to help us book. The Homestay is clean and such good value for money, I would recommend for anyone who goes to Monroe Island to stay here!

Very attentive & friendly host. Made sure we were happy the whole time :) food was yummy! organized a wonderful sunset & sunrise canoe & taxi. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ottima sistemazione per godersi la pace lungo i canali di Munroe Island.
Si tratta di una casa indipendente con un bel giardino, una bella veranda dove godersi l'ombra e il fresco, un grande salone con divani e il tavolo dove verranno serviti sia la colazione che la cena (se deciderete di approfittare della loro buona cucina casalinga). 3 camere matrimoniali con bagno privato e una cucina a disposizione con frigo e bollitore concludono il tutto.
Karun è un ragazzo giovane e dinamico, ci ha illustrato i vari servizi che avremmo potuto prenotare tramite lui. Abbiamo scelto giro in barca sia all' alba che al tramonto e devo assolutamente raccomandarvelo.
Non dovete perderlo.
Se preferirete potrete anche noleggiare biciclette o kayak.
Abbiamo sempre cenato lì in struttura e sempre scegliendo piatti diversi ed erano tutti molto buoni.
Per qualsiasi cosa poi Karun è sempre raggiungibile via whatsapp, molto comodo.
