Staff were friendly enough to give us an early check in. location is good. Rooftop bar was nice. Staff are very nice and helpful.
No wifi internet in the room, although I reported it. The sheet had make up stain on it. Noisy area. The electricity when off many times, no generator or electricity backup although surrounding places were on. Somehow all the lights on the stairs and corridors are switched off at night. I had to use my phone flashlight. The pictures on booking are deceiving.
Rooms were comfortable and well equipped, staff absolutely amazing and great food - loved the roof terrace and views! Very close to the beach and lily the resident dog was so charming:)
Good Location. Very close to the Hiriketiya Beach. Staff were also very welcoming and accommodating.
Shower area needs to be restructured. Otherwise when you take a shower the whole bathroom is wet and slippery. There was also a musical show / party that was so loud and went on until 3am. It was impossible to sleep.
Taboo is a super cool place in a great location and with a great cafe. The breakfast and rooftop yoga sessions are a really nice addition and the staff are super.
The bathroom in my room needed a lot of work and there was a strong drainage smell throughout my stay that should be fixed

The property was perfect. The location was very close to town and the beach was only a stones throw away. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and cocktails on the rooftop.

The food at Taboo is AMAZING. Underrated I must say. Room is clean and spacious and the beach is literally right beside the accomodation. The rooftop of Taboo offers a gorgeous view as well.
The blanket was just a sheet which was not very comfortable nor warm.
The hotel is in a perfect location, close to both hiriketiya and Dickwella beaches and all the shops and restaurants of hiriketiya. The staff were so nice and friendly, especially Irosh who really made our stay great. The room was nice and having beach towels provided was a plus. Also loved the rooftop yoga and the deal for breakfast and yoga is great.
It would be nice to have a fridge in the room. Also for the price, the room felt a little basic (although it was decorated beautifully)
The staff are friendly at Taboo and the view from their roof top bar overlooking Hiriketiya Bay is the best there is. The breakfast is great. The property is only yards away from the beach so convenient for early morning surf lessons. You are also only a 10 minute walk from Dickwella Beach if you fancy a quieter vibe. We enjoyed the morning yoga too from the roof top.
Be aware the excellent proximity to the beach and nearby bars means you get noise well into the evening as well. The property is yet to be sound proofed. This can be remedied by using ear plugs at night to help sleep. And eye mask is also useful to stop the bright lights coming from the festoon lights outside.
Excellent location, right on the beach. This hotel seemed to be ‘the place to be’. Live music on the roof until around 11pm. Lovely breakfast menu - offers yoga and breakfast packages. Staff were really nice.
It was a little noisy with the live music in the evening (we had an early night due to travelling the next day) - but it did stop at 11pm.

The location of Taboo is amazing, right next to hiri beach! Great rooftop bar and food menu. The rooms were very clean and cute.
Breakfast was not included and sometimes loud music at night.

The property is in a great location, a very short walk to the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The place has a really nice feel and relaxed vibe. Coffee and breakfast was amazing in their cute garden area. Lovely view from the rooftop.
