This is a fantastic hotel, absolutely wonderful food and the staff is so helpful and caring. I really recommend it. It’s definitely in the jungle so bring your bug spray and don’t forget to use it. San Pancho is wonderful and this hotel is a bit north of the little town and super quiet. The pools are really nice and there is a beach club nearby where you get a discount via the hotel. That was fantastic too! We will be back!
The restaurant is excellent both for breakfast and dinner. Nice views and very quiet.
AN HONEST REVIEW:
The staff is very kind and welcoming. The hotel is nicely designed clean with a beautiful view of the jungle and beach. Food was also very good. I saw whales every morning I absolutely loved it. Very quiet and comfortable
I genuinely thought for almost $350 a night this hotel is a rip off. "Includes beach activities" lots of the photos include photos of the beach club. It's NOT INCLUDED. Costs $1500 pesos or $85 a person a day. Huge rip off.
The beach section is genuinely the worst section of the beach where the tide is very high sand is high and you can't see the ocean from the beach. Not swimmable like the main part of San pancho beach. No restaurants. There's not really anyone around and for a reason. What they don't tell you: every restaurant along side of the main beach beach will give you a free lounge chair and umbrella with purchase of a few drinks. It's only about $200 pesos a person.
What they need to fix immediately to improve the representation of themselves:
This hotel isn't a short walk from downtown. The roads are uneven not lit up and no sidewalks. creepy and not easy to walk at night. I really dreaded having to walk back and forth each time. THEY NEED TO INVEST IN SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AND FROM THE TOWN. Say drop off at 6 pick up at 9. Because there is NOTHING to do there. If you are a person that likes to just sit by a pool all day not swim and eat breakfast lunch and dinner at your hotel maybe you'll love this place. They just try to push the golf carts on you which again is another expense. They should have electric scooters or bikes with lights to use for free. I would have been satisfied with that. The beach also at night is pitch black also hard to walk at night.
BREAKFAST IS NOT REALLY INCLUDED. For the cost they only included either fruit and coffee or an entree and no beverage. You get $200 pesos a person but an entree is about 195 and coffee 45. You're paying a balance every day. I specifically filter hotels by breakfast included for ease. For the price there should be lounge chair access + breakfast.
I like the hotel overall but would not stay again due to the highly inconvenient location and high cost.
This is a new hotel up on one of the many hills of San Pancho, Mexico. The dirt road in is rough, due in part to construction of homes in the area. The other access is via a steep cobble stone road. The rooms are a good size, a beach umbrella is provided, as are beach chairs upon request. The lighting in the room is good, the fan and a/c works well. The bed felt soft, but it was comfortable. The sliding glass doors do have a full sliding screen door. You can hear the ocean from the rooms, but have a very limited view of the ocean from most of the rooms. The breakfast is very good as are the staff who are friendly and courteous. There is plenty of hot water in the walk in oversized shower. The rooms can get warm since there is no cross ventilation, therefore we used the A/C at night.
The breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic. The hotel is not located in town and is a bit of a walk through pitch black road at night if you go into town for dinner (maybe 10-15 min walk). This wasn't an issue for us, but may be a deterrent for others. I think the location is very quiet and beautiful and worth the distance, as its easy for the hotel to call a cab at night if necessary. We also loved the rooftop plunge pool and seating area. Very calm and quiet.
The layout of the hotel is "L" shaped and the two rooms facing the ocean are directly above the hotel and below the rooftop pool. The restaurant opens at 8 and we could hear the chairs being dragged around early in the morning. Not ideal for a sleep-in and would recommend choosing a room on the upper floor away from the lobby area. Check the hotel's website for the layout and room numbers. The pool downstairs is great but had old hammocks with rips in them which were not useable. They may have replaced them by now, but not while we were staying there. Some ongoing construction next door (FYI) - Not sure now long that will go on for, but wasn't too noticeable.
Absolutamente recomendable
The room was a great size, super cute and clean. The bathroom was great, and the shower had a sliding door to create the feeling of an outdoor shower. I also loved the hammock on our patio, great addition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The distance to the beach was amazing and the restaurant was so good! Don’t miss out on dinner there. Every dish was delicious!
Everything was pretty great. The location is a little far from the town but an easy walk via the road or the beach.
we came for a wedding in Mexico. We had 6 rooms in Wittari, each room was beautiful, specious and clean. We loved the food at the restaurant, breakfast was included. Good coffee, fresh fruits and delish omelet made everyone happy :)
Nothing in my opinion was out of standard. I loved the fact hotel was away from the crowded area of San Panch, it was quiet at night and relaxing during the day.
Close to beach, nice walk into town, quiet and beautiful setting. Loved the food in the restaurant and friendly staff.
Such a nice hotel, the staff are great, rooms are big!
Location is a bit far from town so be prepared to walk!
Breakfest was good, but watch out: Included means 150 Pesos included whick is good for one coffee and some fruits. More has to be paied.
Beautiful place
Far from village, difficult to walk at night, we took a taxi for transportation
Beautiful spaces- awesome room- very comfortable with giant shower and glass door to outside. Great dining experience- waiters gave us detailed descriptions and we tried new food. Jungle like plants around pool were amazing!
Little bit of a dark walk at night from the village.
Heated swimming pool with 2 hammocks and 8 lounge chairs. Purified water was easily available with two public taps outside of the room. Palms, banana and coconut trees created a lush paradise. Upstairs pool had view of ocean. Walk to ocean was 1000 meters with cobble stones and no street lights. The decor was simple. Restaurant staff and food was amazing.
I paid over $200/night for what I think should be $85/night room. Very basic no frills. Dark room. Balcony was on ground floor with a hammock and plants in the way of using the hammock. Things promised in listing had to be requested. Free breakfast was misleading. They give a credit
Senti algunas partes hundidas o desgastadas.
The restaurant is exceptional.
We really enjoyed Witari. Long mornings at the beach (which is just a 2 min walk) and refreshing afternoons by the pool. The staff is incredibly friendly!!
