Although The Regency Bristol has very limited parking facilities, there is restricted on-street parking around the hotel vicinity as well as a secure car park within 10 minutes' walking distance. You are welcome to drop off your luggage prior to parking.

Pros:

The gentleman on reception was really friendly and kind, a credit to this place and I wish he would find a place to work thats better for him
Parking was surprisingly available
Location to Clifton Downs was perfect
Good price - hotel very worn down but sheets towels and bathrooms are all cleaned well

Cons:

Needs some investment as you can see where there has been previous water leaks not painted over, blind in bathroom was broken, windows difficult to open and close
Carpets are stained but hoovered well

BED BUGS room 438. The guy on reception came within minutes of me calling and I was able to show him, he didnt hesitate to apologise and offered a full refund
He also offered a room at another hotel that someone hadn't arrived for but we figured if they had the same linens/staff it was still a risk

Lovely staff member on duty. Poor standard of room, especially for the price

Pros:

Comfortable big & quiet room.

Cons:

No microwave and hair dryer, walking up to 3rd floor with heavy luggage, not convenient if you are elderly.

The man on the front desk was really friendly and helpful, room was good for the price. Clean sheets and towels.

Pros:

Affordable & close enough to the city for a quick commute. Bar and restaurant over the road is really handy. The host was really friendly and accomodating, have some great recommendations and made it a very welcome stay

Fantastic staff at desk, huge room
Pros:

The black guy on the desk (I regret that I didn't catch his name) was absolutely fantastic- so friendly and helpful! I lost part of my ring and he found it and gave it back to me the next day. The room was huge and the bed was SO comfy!!

Cons:

The shower was like wrestling with an angry snake, it was out of control! Washing my hair was a challenge and the temperature kept going from being scalding hot to freezing. The whole bathroom ended up being a wet room by the end of our stay!

Don't expect perfection, but did exactly what was needed.
Pros:

As a cheap, based of operations, kind of venue, does the job perfectly. Nothing flashy or standout, but really easy checkin and checkout and comfortable bed for the night. Simple walk into city centre too (although not as fun uphill after heavy night out)

Cons:

Shared bathroom facilities were not the cleanest.
