Chic luxurious lakeside getaway - not to be missed!
Pros:

We had a fabulous stay at Pihlas. We loved everything about it. The location by the lake is stunning. It is so peaceful and serene. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets and loved the hot tub and sauna by the lake where you can take in some amazing views. It is a quiet resort- there are only 10 cabins and villas so it never feels busy - which is what we loved about it. Staff are amazing. So helpful and friendly (Shout out to Tina , Karollina and the waitresses). Food is amazing - it is a set menu for dinner and for breakfast- which we loved- local produce cooked and presented so beautifully (the buckwheat porridge was fantastic!). We stayed in a 2 person cabin- which is spotlessly clean and we even had our own jeep to get around the resort. We travelled from Helsinki airport by train and the resort arranged a transfer from Mikkeli train station (about 45 min drive) - very straightforward. Will definitely be back

Cons:

Nothing!
It is a forest by the lake - there will be mosquitoes- just remember to bring some spray! It is worth it!

Pros:

Ravintola Siimes järjesti elämyksellisen kokonaisuuden aamiaisineen ja illallisineen meille joulunajan vierailussamme. Alue on rauhallinen ja tarjosi hyvät puitteet rauhoittua joulun viettoon.

Pros:

Upea kokemus kaikkinensa, tullaan ehdottomasti uudelleenkin. Paljon ilmaisia aktiviteetteja, kiva rantasauna poreammeineen, alueella liikkumiseen on käytettävissä oma golf-auto ja minibaari kuului hintaan. Siimeksen fine dining -illallinen oli yksi Suomen parhaista. Palvelusta ja hyväkuntoisista tiloista kokonaisuudessaan myös plussaa.

Sauna und ein Bad im See waren perfekt. Auch das Abendessen und die private Atmosphäre im ganzen Ressort. Wir kommen wieder.

An incredible experience! An infrastructure infinitely more beautiful than imagined by the site. If there was a paradise on earth, I think this is what it would look like. Unreservedly recommended!
