The room was enormous, the bed was very comfy, lots of wardrobe space and a nice armchair.
Lovely shower.
Dan was very welcoming and generous.
Good breakfast in a very nice dining room.
Full use of the kitchen if I wanted to cook breakfast.
Warm and cosy sitting room.

Dan was very helpful and provided great communication from the moment I booked until we left, he could not have done anymore. He is very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble.
As previously mentioned Cliffside is a minute from the beach and only a 10 minute walk from Cowes town centre. If you walk 20 minutes west along the seafront you come to Gurnard and The Woodvale pub, where you can watch the sunset, have dinner and some good beer.
I would certainly stay at Cliffside again.

We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay while on the island! The property was fantastic and in a superb location. Dan was brilliant — an attentive and friendly host who made us feel right at home from meeting him. We would highly recommend staying at Cliffside!

De locatie was uitstekend, heel rustig en vlakbij het strand en wandelafstand van het centrum van cowes. De uitbater Dan deed alles om het ons aangenaam te maken.

Amazing cosy cottage, great that we had it all to ourselves 🤣 Dan couldn’t have been more accommodating, he was so helpful and friendly, even making a special trip to buy some IOW tomatoes for us to try! It was a real home from home where we could relax, we would 100% stay here again in the future.

The host was an absolute legend, I went to the isle of wight to cycle round and chose Cliffside as somewhere close to the start/finish. Dan was in communication with me pretty much the whole way round and even recommended 'refreshment' stops along the way. Cliffside itself was lovely spacious and comfortable,. I could only wish I could have sampled the local delicacies for breakfast but sadly over slept and had to dash to catch the ferry. Me and a buddy are planning to do the trip again next year and would definitely stay here if available.

Dan’s home was beautiful and remarkable in a perfect location so close to Cowes but not too close for it to be noisy.

Self catering as owner said he would not be there. Food was available. We were able to use his kitchen to prepare breakfast and our two dinners.
Met by Tracy on arrival. Able to charge an electric bike.

Tolle Lage direkt am Meer auf einem schönen Grundstück. Wir wurden vom Besitzer sehr nett empfangen und betreut. Großer Frühstücksraum zur Selbstversorgung, der mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man braucht. Unser Motorrad stand in einem Carport auf dem Grundstück. Die hübsche Stadt ist fußläufig zu erreichen.

Location, size, facilities

Wir haben uns hier von der ersten Minute an rundum wohlgefühlt! Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft – nur ein paar Schritte vom Strand entfernt, perfekt für entspannte Stunden am Meer. Unser Gastgeber Dan ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer interessiert, dass es einem gut geht – man merkt richtig, wie viel Herzblut er in alles steckt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist total gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht. Man fühlt sich sofort wie zuhause. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Cliffside Cottage is a lovely house tucked away moments from the sea.
Dan is a very relaxed host who makes you feel very at home.
Everything that you could need is provided in very generous proportions.

The location is perfect – just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Cowes and only a few steps from the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended!
