The hotel upgraded us from a 2-room suite to a 3-room, without our asking. A lovely thing to do. Room was spacious, clean, quiet and pretty. Kitchen had everything. No junky leftovers with stains, scratches or grease marks. Full set of new-looking dishes, mugs, glasses and cookware.
Read reviews about places located in the main village that talked about the noise level. This was quiet.
The walls are thing and you can hear people walking down the hall talking, but they were all respectful and didn't do it during late hours.
Full washer/dryer and dishwasher.
Location: Ski lift is 500 feet outside the hotel. When they say the outdoor pool is heated, they are not kidding! Lovely. Clean weight room. Bus stop to Whistler village is right outside the front of the hotel and runs every 10 minutes. Takes 6 minutes to get there. For those who know Whistler this will not be a surprise but if it's your first trip, you will not find a parking spot in Whistler Village unless you go at 7:30am. Slopes open at 10. Take the bus. You're welcome.
Grocery Coop is 200 feet across the street from the hotel.
The cleaning staff is very friendly and kind. They don't knock then rush into the room. They knock twice, wait 30 seconds each. Open the door, call for anyone in the room. It's very respectful, and clearly takes a lot of time per room and adds up when you're cleaning 100 plus rooms.
Our room was right by the elevator but we heard nothing.
trying to get to the parking garage via elevator is like participating in an episode of the Amazing Race. You can't get to levels P2 and P1 by the lobby elevator. Only P3. Obviously. Another elevator across the hotel has access to all the parking spots.
We spent the whole time diligently composting and recycling, but when it came to locating the bins, you have to wander around the whole complex carrying your bag of dripping compost. Turns out there are only bins on P3 parking lot. not P2 or P1. No signage except a small one in some obscure place. There is a garbage chute on every floor but only for garbage. Not recycle or compost.
One of the beds in 232 sloped. I have a back problem so I'm very picky. Others might not be bothered by it.
And parking! There are lots of spots underground but giant pillars every two parking spaces prevents you from getting more than one car in. If you are Danika Patrick it will probably be easy to maneuver, but otherwise give yourself 27 minutes to 1) find a spot and 2) get into it without touching the other car, the pillar or losing your mirror. So if there are 300 spaces only 150 are park-able.
Close to lifts
House keeping could have been better
Proximity to lift’s
Bus stop out the front to go to Whistler Village.
Pub and small Convenience Store close by.
open fire, plenty of space, pool and hot tubs, proximity to lifts ,ski storage, good Christmas decorations
lack of snow!
It was beautiful view from out room , we needed extra blanket , we called to reception and within few minutes someone came to handed out blanket
may be the heat could be better
Everything went well.
Weather.
Great location! Quieter than the main town, which we liked. Good restaurants, shops and walks were all accessible from the hotel. Lovely pool and comfy rooms
Some of the signage in the hotel was pretty poor e.g. on the 3rd floor at the main lift there were no signs saying which way the different rooms were (weirdly we later found out there were signs on the 2nd floor). There are a lot of rooms on each floor so a simple sign would be helpful. Also finding the pool, a bigger sign would be useful as you access it through the gym which you can easily walk past as it looks like a bedroom door....or you can access via the kids area, but you only find that out if the people coming out kindly tell you to go that way
Super Lage, Pool und Zimmergröße.
Great staff. Pool and amenities great.
On Friday night there were children and some adults screaming very loud in the pool/hot tub right below our window all the way until 11pm We finally had to call down because no one was monitoring them.
