Got a smaller room than I ordered and the toilet was broken.
The hotel is under construction, the way to my room was partially blocked and very noisy in the day.
Great place and the island in amazing
An unforgettable stay! The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located. The staff were warm and helpful, and every detail made us feel relaxed and taken care of. Can’t wait to come back!

I regret to say that our stay at this property did not meet expectations, especially considering the price.
The location is not ideal, as it's in the center of the island, which makes getting around challenging without renting a buggy (which costs between $50–90 per day). Public transport options are limited, so if you're not planning to rent a vehicle, it can be quite tricky to explore the island.
Additionally, the advertised view of the jungle was replaced by construction materials and large machinery. The area was clearly under development, which detracted from the experience.
The check-in time of 3 pm is rather late, and the 10 am check-out is quite early, especially given the ferry schedule (arriving at 9 am and departing at 3 pm). We attempted to negotiate an early check-in or late check-out, given that there were no other bookings before or after us, but our requests were declined and we were asked to pay extra for either option.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast. For the price of the room, we were only offered a small coffee and a single slice of toast with butter – no tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, or any other variety. When we inquired about additional options, the response was simply "es lo que hay" ("that's all there is"), with a small smile, which felt dismissive.
Given the service, the location, and the overall experience, I would not recommend this property, especially at this price point. There are certainly better options on the island that offer better value for money.
It was beautiful confortable and clean ! Love the attention to detail and the fact that you can get a better rate renting a golf car to explore the island
Everything was perfect
We had a great stay in Avani! The place is really new, the staff is amazing and they take great care of their guests. Isaac is a great host and he was always attentive and ready to assist and help with everything. We could contact him at any time through Whatsapp and he was always willing to help. Breakfast was great as well. We rented a golf cart to go around the island, I would recommend it 100%. You can rent it there for $85.00. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable, it is also very nice.
We had no hot water in the shower. Unfortunately, there was construction in front of our room (no noise or smell but it wasn't as beautiful). I would say it is a bit overpriced.
