The rooms were very nice. We requested the best view and they delivered. I was here to spend time with my spouse's family, who are from this city, as well as to attend a wedding in the family. The accommodation is located in a very convenient area. The Cafe on the 3rd floor is very nice, and the rooftop lounge is even better. The staff was always helpful and even brought the drinks to our room.
Toilet paper and towels were available upon request (it helps when your spouse speaks vietnamese, which made things a lot easier) but I'm sure the staff would be able to help regardless. I will be coming back in the very near future!
The rooms were very warm when we arrived. I think prepping the rooms to be a bit cooler upon guest arrival would be great.
There were ants in the rooms, albeit very small ones. I wouldn't leave food or sugary drinks out. The room keys also gave us issues a few times, but it wasn't anything the receptionist couldn't fix in a few seconds.
The Camellia is set sat right on the lake. We liked the hotel as it was very clean and had safe parking for motorbikes underneath.
There was an elevator from the underground parking spot direct to the rooms which made it easy when packing the motorbikes.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and some of them had a great view over the lake. The bed was very comfy and the bathrooms spacious. In the evenings it was a very short walk to some bars and restaurants that sat on the edge of the lake.
There is also a bank opposite the hotel which has a number of ATMs if you need money, although we did find in our case the maximum daily limit was only 2 million Dong.
The hotel staff were very pleasant although not much English was spoken. I will also add that they required payment in cash and had no facilities for credit card payment.
Overall the hotel was excellent value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it
