Pros:

Le personnel et les patrons sont adorables, le lieu est magnifique, la vue de la chambre est dingue, la piscine, le lit est TELLEMENT confortable, capsule nespresso dans la chambre, le petit déjeuner est trop trop bien, plein de chiens trop mignons, c’est assez loin du reste de l’île mais on le savait et on peut louer un scooter à l’hôtel, y’a un bar sur le rooftop avec des cocktails super bons! un super bon moment

Cons:

le pommeau de douche est super rouillé et tombe en lambeau, et on avait réservé un van de l’aéroport à l’hôtel 4 jours avant d’arriver et au final le matin une fois à l’aéroport pas de van on a dû payer 1000 pesos de plus qu’annoncer

Se nota cuando alguien sabe hacer las cosas bien. Borja y Daphne unos anfitriones excelentes. El personal súper atento, un alojamiento estupendo en el que te facilitan cualquier necesidad que tengas. Genial para desconectar y nos deja muy buen sabor de boca al final de nuestro viaje. Ojalá volvamos algún día.

We really loved everything about the stay
Pros:

It was an amazing stay - stylish, minimalist, 'instagrammable' hotel. It is located in nature and views are breathtaking. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the setting. The hotel and setting really allowed us to reconnect with nature and recharge.
The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and nice. The room amenities were nicely done and spacious.
The breakfast was really good and tasty too, kept us full until evening.

Cons:

Nothing, it really exceeded our expectations.

Pros:

Breakfast was nice and bed was comfey.

Cons:

Honestly, we were so unimpressed! It felt like no love had been put into it. Everything seemed to need repair and there was zero vibe. No music playing, felt cold, the pool was more like a pond, the lighting in the dark was dangerous coming back and forth to the hotel. We stayed at Trogon the week prior for three days and the experience was SO much better. Further to this, if you are going to be on a cliff, why does one of the most expensive rooms have the smallest view of the water and why is the restaurant so far away with zero view. The whole layout makes zero sense.

We loved the view of the ocean and tranquility of the hotel.

Cons:

Fascilities were not to our expectations. Additionally, ants everywhere, concrete flooring walls and ceiling, shower wasn’t pleasant, beds extra stiff, the included breakfast was pitiful, staff was rude, not helpful, not hospitable.

Very nice holiday!
Pros:

A perfect paradise in Siargao!
Our stay at Izustarri was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed – the staff was friendly, genuinely helpful, and always smiling. The hotel itself is a perfect blend of bohemian style and modern comfort.

Every little detail was clearly well thought out. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere, the quiet surroundings, and the beautiful sea view.

Breakfast was delicious – fresh fruits, smoothie bowls, and pancakes that were absolutely mouthwatering. The hotel’s recommendations for activities, scooter rentals, and restaurants were also incredibly helpful.
On top of that, we got great tips for exploring General Luna, where we continued our holiday!

We accidentally left some clothes in our room when we checked out, but the owner kindly made sure they were delivered to us in General Luna. That made us feel truly cared for and happy!

All in all, Izustarri gave us so much more than we expected. This is a place we absolutely want to return to. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay – keep up the amazing work! 🌴❤️

A beautiful brutalist location.
Pros:

Borja and Daphne could not do more for us during our stay. As their restaurant was unoperational for the 3 nights we booked for they ensured that we were well provided for and went out of their way to make us comfortable and well fed. They even upgraded our room for free as a birthday gift to a stunning sea view suite. In the sunshine it really is a unique and beautiful escape from the bustle of General Luna.

Cons:

Our only feedback would be that the quality of the towels and bathroom toiletries could do with a little more love. If you don’t drive a scooter the location might be a challenge but I am sure that tuctucs can be organised for any daily needs.

Didn’t impress us
Pros:

So much potential, the room itself was nice enough & the location on top of the cliffs is spectacular.

Cons:

It’s a bold design but just feels neglected externally. External and internal doors do not fit/close properly, red ants everywhere. The staff were cold and unwelcoming. We had to put down a 3000PHP cash security deposit, and were told any incidentals could be paid on checkout (No warning about there being no card payments) - to our surprise our dinner and breakfast extras were deducted from the cash deposit before it was returned and were told they can’t take a card payment which was incredibly frustrating as we needed the cash for an excursion the next morning. No working ATM’s for miles.

the host diego was absolutly adorable just upon are arival. the staff were very nice and helpfull. the food from the restaurant 10/10. the room was cleaned everyday and had the most beautiful view. borja and dafne were very helpful and so nice. beautiful location would defenitly recomend this place to all.

Izustarri was my favourite hotel of the trip! Such beautiful design, lovely staff, delicious food and incredibly comfortable. The view from the rooftop is next level and the pool is beautiful. There is so much thought and detail that’s gone into everything. The music in the rooftop bar and at breakfast was awesome too. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’ll be back ❤️
