off the beaten path boutique hotel w spa and ocean view, good breakfast
Pros:

we liked the clean room and inviting lobby, as well as welcome drinks and warm room. having breakfast, dinner, spa and drinks included was ok. breakfast included freshly baked croissants, fresh yogurt and freshly squeezed grape juice. wish they offered decaf latte w oat milk though the woman at the front desk was nice enough to give me milk in the americano coffee when i asked nicely. enjoyed a film via the in-room projector, which was a novel experience but wondered whether it was infringing on copyright?

Cons:

dinner venue was nice but service was odd (main course and dessert were served at once although we saw many couples take their desserts to the main lobby coffee area). while i appreciated the attempt at fine dining, i didn't love the menu and was a bit disappointed. the octopus appetizer was tough like rubber and the on the shell shrimp was extremely hard to deshell and eat w/o proper utensils. the main bulgoki rice bowl had too much rice and the quality of the beef was not great. i liked the sliced perilla topping but the dish was overall too dry. overall, service didn't feel warm. maybe it's generational but giving qr codes for manuals on using the polaroid seemed unhelpful although we enjoyed snapping away. there were far too many rules and regulations and not enough hospitality. while we appreciated the ocean view and spa (which btw was in another building so in winter time is pretty inconvenient to go back and forth in your gown), not sure i'd return. the rules were also inconsistent. brochure said we had to wear swimsuits but when we said we hadn't brought one, they said it was ok not to. i would say it's more important to have warm service than a dyson hairdryer set in the room. i would recommend they instead invest in expanding the size of the rooms, replace the dirty carpet in the hallway, humidifier, more comfy bed and better quality food/creative menu.

Unique decor but some flaws
Pros:

Really nice, modern korean style decor. You will receive a camera to take printable pictures with. Small bath / spa area that you can use once. Staff is very nice. Drinks and food is included, breakfast was fresh baked pastries brought to room.

Cons:

Right next to a road so you hear passing cars loudly all night. Hard bed and pillows, and no blackout curtains. The dinner is included but you have no choice what you get and we received very small portions of 4 courses and the meat was chewy in all of it.

Exceptional
Pros:

This hotel is not your ordinary hotel, it is a very unique experience. Although not advertised, upon 6pm arrival, dinner is served. Dinner includes 4 course meal at their very authentic dinner bistro. Then you are given a polaroid camera to create memories from your stay. For breakfast you get a breakfast box to be enjoyed at your own spa room. Every little detail has been carefully thought out and the staff members cannot get any nicer or any friendlier. Thank you. It has been the most memorable stay during our roadtrip in South Korea.
Ps. Dinner, breakfast, Polaroid photo printouts, complimentary alcoholic drinks and snacks are all included in the room price.

Cons:

Lack of blackout curtains :)
