I would not recommend Brookmere based on my recent stay. Before arriving, I arranged with the hotel to have chocolate covered strawberries and champagne placed in the room as a surprise for my boyfriend, and when we checked in, nothing was there. It was disappointing, especially because it was supposed to be a special surprise that had been confirmed ahead of time.

On top of that, no one cleaned our room during our entire 3-night stay. We completely ran out of toilet paper, clean towels, and soap, and housekeeping never came unless we would have had to track someone down ourselves.

The biggest issue was the billing. There was an almost $300 charge placed on my card, and when I went to the front desk to ask about it, no one could explain what it was. Later I found out it was supposedly a security hold, but this was never mentioned at check-in or when I specifically asked about the charge. To make matters worse, my card ended up being charged a different amount than what I was originally told and promised multiple times, even after check out.

Overall, the lack of communication, poor housekeeping service, and confusing billing issues made this a very frustrating experience, especially for a hotel that presents itself as a higher-end stay.

Decent place but would not rush back.

Cons:

The room did not have any toiletries and only a few towels. It was very hot and took forever to cool it off.
I left my brand new pajamas and robe there and called, was told to go on-line to report. I finally get a response that they were not found. This is a complete lie as I walked out of the bathroom and know they were in there as this was the last thing I did!

Serene, restful stay!
Pros:

Christy!!!!!!! She was on the front desk, and was wonderfully welcoming!! Even though I am local, she told me about scenic places to visit I didn’t even know existed! The hotel is CHARMING! Espresso machine and honestly, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like was leaving!

The grounds and overall style are nice.

Cons:

Some of the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. For a "4 star" hotel our room was okay, very dusty and there was some hair in the bathroom on our arrival and the bar in the room was not complete, missing coffee pods. There was also wall damage in the bathroom. I expected more especially when listed as a 4 star hotel.
