Clean pleasant, dated but felt safe overall (male traveller)
Pros:

The room was a decent size, the bedding was clean, the kitchenette was clean and the bathroom was clean. It was all dated and some stains or marks but that was more long term damage. The place itself smelt clean. The people in the room next door were polite and quiet. They allowed me custom late check in time and were helpful. Decent heater in room. And a TV which I didn’t try.

Cons:

Ok for me but to note: very loud traffic and some sort of sirens at night. Confusing at first to get the key but that was more a misunderstanding but still stressful for me. No lamp but also fine for me. I think for the price it was appropriate. Two of the sockets didn’t work out of the four in the room. Toilet paper run out but I expect there isn’t an agreement to have that refilled by the design of the place is more of a room hire than Airbnb.

Felt relaxed and at home staying here, was a positive experience and will stay here again
Pros:

Fantastic value for the money, nice comfortable room with everything I required for my stay, nice comfy big bed and a big TV and free WiFi. Nice bathroom and kitchen for preparing and cooking meals. Will definitely stay here again.

Chip room
Pros:

The price! During Christmas time it was very chip! Furthermore it is close to the Shortland station

Cons:

In the stairwell it smelled of food, in the room too, for all our stay.
The bathroom was not very clean and the sink is so small.
In the bedroom there were some used handkerchiefs on the wardrobe. No bedside table, no lamp.
