Mothership

This was the best accommodation we had during our trip in Sri Lanka! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind, and generous, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

The room was impeccable, very spacious, extremely clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the location is perfect, only a few minutes’ walk from the beach.

Everything was very transparent and the hospitality truly exceptional. They also have a restaurant and the food there was fantastic. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

This is property is perfect for a quite beach location with excellent facilities with good access to surrounding places of interest.

We had an amazing stay at Mothership,an absolute true gem with serene surroundings for relaxing, extremely modern, spacious and built to Western and European standards, close proximity to the beach and lagoon. The Hosts Monica and Nisantha are extremely friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome and right at home. We had all our meals in-house as Nisantha’s culinary skills are absolutely amazing. Had an amazing Stay

Beautiful accommodation in a new spacious house. The owners are willing to help and are very friendly. They cook excellently in the accommodation. We recommend

I knew beforehand that the B&B is located in a quiet area with a not touristy beach close by and this was perfect for me - exactly what I had wanted, especially to have very peaceful nights!

The room was large, with lots of great lighting options and multiple plug points. Had a kettle and daily water provided. Enough good towels and hot water. The whole place was very clean. WiFi worked well.

The owners are on-site and very helpful in terms of arranging a Tuk Tuk and providing advice, as well as organising for laundry to be done. Breakfast was fantastic and I ate dinner both nights there - fresh, delicious food at decent prices.

Finally, they have trained masseurs who can come in the evening to provide Ayurvedic massages - it was very reasonably priced and excellent!

We were upgraded to the family room which was huge. It was very well appointed for a room in this price bracket. The owners were very welcoming and kind. We had excellent breakfasts and dinners. The nearby beach was fabulous - very empty and picture perfect. The sea is rough but the lagoon which is semi tidal was flat and perfect for children to swim safely.

Magnifique endroit pour déconnecter et se reposer au calme. Pas de télévision, pas de piscine, pas de bruit. Tout est fait pour passer un séjour tranquille. À quelques mètres de la plus belle plage de Tangalle où on ne croise quasiment que des pêcheurs sur des kilomètres. Tout le personnel est très accueillant et attentionné. Nous avons dîné le soir sur place des délicieux repas à base de produits de la mer, concoctés par un vrai chef. Une de nos adresses préférées lors de notre séjour à Sri Lanka.

Lovely owners, who are very warm, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were pretty, spacey and super clean with a great view of the wild nature in the yard. We ate all our meals at the hotels as the owner is a professional chef who can introduce you to all the great Sri Lankan food - we really loved the food! The hotel is 150m from a beautiful lonely beach (water a bit to the rough side).
Highly recommended!

Nisha and monika were the nicest hosts. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the food really stands out. Within walking distance of the beautiful and desolate beach, there's a fair chance you'll be the only one walking here. Waves can be a bit intense from time to time, but in those cases the lagoon provides an excellent alternative for swimming. If peace and quiet is what you're looking for, this is definitely the place to go.
