Always been a great experience staying here as I’ve stayed at least 6 times before,
However this time just the wait for Breakfast 40 minutes and the one sausage and one piece of bacon was past a joke not to write a review
The hotel staff ruined our stay.
A staff member aggressively demanded entry into our room at 2am. This was a family room and he would not leave after we stated this and that we have young children in the room, who were terrified at the loud banging and shouting. I was about to call the police when he said he worked at the hotel, despite not being in uniform. After calling down to reception, they said they had seen some people going into each others rooms at 2am. Clearly this wasn’t us as we were fast asleep and he was banging on the wrong door.
There was no apology from him and there has been no ‘adequate’ compensation for all of this. This was the first time staying in a premier inn and I cannot understand how you can treat customers like this.
I expect an apology and for this to be escalated appropriately and resolved to my satisfaction. The feedback card I was given simply offers details of the ‘good night sleep guarantee’, this is 100% to do with staff behaviour and attitude and could have been avoided. You can’t just offer a traumatised tired family 60% off their total stay refunded, it’s disgusting customer service!
The staff member Ollie (Olly) went above and beyond for me and my family. He was pleasant, polite and always had a smile on his face and always had a solution to any problem I had. Thank you so much.
Thank you Ollie (Olly). You went above and beyond’s for us and our family. We can’t thank you enough we are so grateful for everything
amazing service. thank you to Ollie (he says Olly) was fantastic' thank you so much for all your help. he was fantastic he is great
Staying away frequently can be a little traumatic at times but my experience tonight at Sutton Harbour has been exceptional. Trish, Ollie and the team have been amazing and I would fully recommend to anyone visiting Plymouth. A massive well done.
Ollie was fantastic and accommodating with changing rooms for accessibility for family members. Super quick and friendly, really happy with the service provided and super helpful!
Ollie was absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much to ask. Incredibly accommodating no matter what the request. Thank you so much for all of your help.
Had a great stay at Sutton Harbour, Plymouth. Perfectly placed to explore some of the lovely parts of the city. It was made even better by the quality of the staff, particularly Kay who would be a credit to any organisation. She was both efficient and effective with seemingly nothing too much trouble.
Stayed here with some family over the summer. We always pick premier inn as we love the beds and the room is always clean.
What made our stay tho was the staff.
Kay at reception was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area giving us plenty of ideas on what to do.
Her approachable and kindness towards our group really made our stay and even our fussy gran was happy and said it was all down to Kay. :)
We'll deffo return and hopefully see Kay again!
Lift not working, aircon in room not working, so called ultimate wi-fi (that you have to pay extra for) slower than an early noughties dial up modem. Car parking not the cheapest at £9.00 extra a day. Very average stay at this Premier Inn.
Stayed here with my family, always choose Premier Inn as you know what to expect. This place was lovely, so clean and right by the beautiful harbour. The staff on check in were brilliant, so efficient and knowledgeable. Thank you to Kay for welcoming us and the laughs.
Fab visit - again!
We were greeted by Rebecca, she was really welcoming and sorted all our needs and questions. We were with friend and excited for an evening out - Rebecca picked up on this and kept the vibe going! Good fun, professional and an absolute credit to the Company!
Hotel is positioned great for a good time on Plymouth Barbican. Bar is fab, food is great, service excellent! We come here often and the great level of service is consistent - well done everyone!
Really lovely hotel!
All staff were very helpful, receptionists professional and kind.
We upgraded to premier plus on arrival and loved the room, would highly recommend!
The only thing was that the WiFi barely worked, even the premier plus WiFi.
Very quick and easy check in. Hotel was clean and in an ideal location in the city. Staff were friendly and Trisha was lovely!
Absolutely amazing staff at this Premier Inn I had to actually ask on check out who looked after us as they were all so good!!!
Bryony you are absolutely the ray of sunshine that this world needs you really brightened up our stay! I would also like to thank Patricia for really helping my mum who is gluten free you catered for her beautifully. Thank you as well to Dexter. Tommy and Mark on duty.
Our food was fabulous and cooked to perfection my husband's mixed grill was great.
We walked out of the hotel crossed the footbridge to Sutton Harbour and walked all the way to Royal William Yard which was a fantastic walk.
Thank you again we will definitely be back!!
No soundproofing so can hear almost anything from other rooms. Eg. Snoring, TV or phone call. AC units are crazy load and make gurgling noises. Customer service from staff was non existent. Would not stay again
WIFi at this location has been awful for the last year. I use Premier inn on a regular basis, avoided this location for at least a year, returned this week with the hope that the WIFI signal would have been fixed but still awful after a year. I am a business customer and the wifi is important for the work I do, customer should be informed in advance that there isn't a working wifi signal at this hotel.
All staff are friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and breakfast was really nice.
Trish was very helpful on reception.
I had an issue with my parking and Trish sorted it out for me.
When ever we walked in staff greated us with a friendly smile.
Everyone I came across was helpful and friendly.
The room was fabulous ( premier plus) with lovely view over boats. spacious immaculately clean with such a comfy bed and generous big towels . Staff were helpful and the position was good for getting around. The only bad thing was the Wi-Fi which in the premier plus room is supposed to be particularly good
It was hopeless and hardly worked at all . This really needs attention as if it had been a business trip it would have been seriously annoying
A pity as otherwise a really good experience .
