Upon check in Julia was excellent getting us settled in , and Katie sorted out some essentials and shared some local knowledge.
The place was excellent place to be to fly from Gatwick north terminal , breakfast and room were great, and we had a fantastic sleep. Your hotel manager and team should be proud of your hotel 10/10
Hotel was to standard but the reception staff were cold and unwelcoming. Having to check in via a machine when I was so tired, staff no where in sight.
Breakfast staff were amazing though and so was breakfast.
The usual easy check in, consistent standards in terms of room facilities. The service in the restaurant this evening was excellent. I was eating alone and the service from Monika was really friendly and personable without being too much.
This hotel adds a level of homely feel to what could be a cold transactional experience in an airport chain hotel. From being met warmly by Gaynor at breakfast to see how our training was going, to being greeted by Monika in the evening for dinner to hear what’s good on the menu, I had a truly lovely time being genuinely cared for by the whole team.
The hotel is well positioned from bus 100, following signs for local buses in the south terminal - near to where the tram to the north terminal is. Around 10mins total journey time. There is a number of convenience stores and shopping options within walking distance and online delivery options for those unable to get out.
This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel and booked it because of our previous experience there. Our visit last weekend was so we could fly into Gatwick from Edinburgh and then commute into London from either Gatwick or Three Bridges railway station's. The room rates are good and we chose the Premier Inn Plus room which are very nice and with that you get free wi-fi for three devices on each day of your visit which saves money of course. There is free wi-fi per room however, for one device so an additional fee would be required for more devices. We found the wi-f setup and bit of a nightmare having to enter pre-sent codes each day and we never really got it going ok, perhaps Apple devices cause some kind of issue? The hotel is on an industrial estate however, it's not a building site and the surroundings are quite pleasant. Buses stop outside if you need them and cabs are easy to obtain from the local area. A cab ride to Three Bridges which offers plenty of links into London and further afield and also South to the Coast and other directions, fixed rate was around £7.60 one way, Gatwick is a little further around £19 for a one way trip or a bus ride for a lot less. The hotel has a nice restaurant with decent food reasonably priced. There is a separate bar with a seating area for relaxing and drinks are typical of hotels in the area and pretty much London prices. Meal deals can be obtained from reception. The room was clean and if you needed any extra towels or the like then it's delivered to your room. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we'd like to make note of a lovely Lady by the name of Sofia who was extremely helpful and made us feel most welcome each time we met her in the restaurant. She is a credit to Premier Inn. There was only one negative item to mention and that was the fire alarm going off at 4.30am on our last night which turned out to be 'an issue' and it did not go off again, we did ring down to reception to ask if we needed to vacate the hotel. A nice hotel, easy on the budget compared to Central London hotels and we will return soon.
I can speak only highly about my stay at Premier Inn. The staff was extremly helpful and always at our disposal when needed. I would like to personally evaluate the professionalism and client focused approach that Monika embodies with the highest rate. She is outstanding, her attitude and real care for client’s necesities made us want to come back. Furthermore, I would like to personally give thanks to Stephen who handled all the adminstrative part in two languages interchangeably which was extremely impressive and constituted an asset in stresfull situation I have encountered myself in. In general my stay there can be evaluated as enjoyable and well organised.
We thought we arrived at wrong hotel as sat nav taking us half mile further. We had not ! by time we were checking in Stephen was so efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Had dinner in restaurant on a day where they had 3 staff off it did not effect service or friendliness, food amazing presentation good and tasty! Well done chef , all worked as a team ! Sophia was our waitress a breath of fresh air in hospitality and a credit to the business and team.
A shabby welcome and very shabby sofas in the bar. Not very nice.
Room was OK, clean and presentable but - overall 'quite shabby.
The friendliest staff I have encountered in any Premier Inn. They were all exceptional especially Gayna in the restaurant. Had a nice steak meal there. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Great service with a spooky smile as we would expect on Halloween lol but the food was good and the service outstanding well done
Shocked at the increase in parking cost. Extremely shocked to be charged £10 to unlock the door to the adjoining room!!!!!
Very well looked after by all of the staff, particularly Gaynor in the restaurant. Room and facilities very comfortable and tidy.
Very well looked after. Room was clean and tidy as you expect from a premier inn. Meal was great and service from Gaynor was brilliant, very attentive and made a lovely start to our holiday. Thank you!
We always stay at this premier inn when flying out of Gatwick because it’s by far the best! All staff are fantastic and so helpful and friendly. The rooms are great and have everything you could possibly need but the best part is the restaurant and the staff there. We have stayed here many times and have always had excellent service and food in the restaurant. All the restaurant staff are great but a special mention must go to the lovely Gaynor in the restaurant. She is absolutely brilliant - so friendly and helpful and always makes our experience here just perfect. I always recommend Gatwick manor royal to anyone I know who flies out of Gatwick because it’s absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to our next stay.
We booked 2 rooms pre-flight, the next morning. We arrived on Sunday with plenty of parking at around 4.30 pm. The cost of parking is not deducted from the bill, or it is free with proof of check-in. I believe the cost to park was over £10. We also had an evening meal, and my wife has to eat gluten-free, so they had a separate menu. As expected, good service and clean rooms, apart from my grandson pulling out a half-eaten sandwich under the bed.
Hotel immaculate rooms super clean and the bed was so comfy. The heating/air-conditioning worked perfectly and overall very happy with the room. We got the room at a reasonable price however soon realised that is because your stung with a £15 parking charge per night and £15 early check in despite rooms being ready and others checking in early with no fee being paid.
Receptionist definitely wasn't warm and welcoming which is a shame. As to me a warm welcome is important in hospitality.
Overall OK stay. But wouldnt stay again purely due to parking costs I think its terrible guests should have to pay to park.
Restaurant staff were really friendly, and the food was really good. Quick, hot and really very tasty. Gaynor served us and she was exceptional.
Thank you, Gaynor for looking after us. Excellent food and very good service. Salad was very good value for money.........
Very comfortable, quiet and clean room. I've stayed here a few times and will always when I'm flying early out of Gatwick.
I booked rooms with a Premier Inn Business Card, for myself and a colleague. I called the reception team to ensure my colleague could enter her room before I arrived, so she wouldn't be stranded waiting. It took over 10 minutes to do this with the helpline. They assured me the note was on the booking. When my colleague arrived she was told she couldn't enter her room and was dealt with extremely rudely, especially by the manager. He refused to let her enter her room stating no notes on the booking- when in fact there were, he just hadn't seen them. He was also rude when I arrived, an hour later, and although he had realised that he had made a mistake did not apologise. His customer service was appalling. I stay in Premier Inns by choice, all of the time for work but this experience has made me think twice.
