Old, bad adour, poor quality
Pros:

The hotel is very dated and has bad adour. Very cold and on entry in the room, it was freezing.
The bathroom had black hair in bath tub which out us off.
The silicone around the bath and door frame has black mould.
Don't be surprised not to be welcomed as the staff are working on the bar and restaurant aswell.
Overall the worst premier in I've stayed in.

Overnight stay
Pros:

We needed a place to stay overnight whilst visiting York, we found the Premier inn to be quiet and comfortable, the food was good, and the location was convenient and easy to find.

I know it's a budget hotel...but come on, Travelodge is cheaper and nicer
Pros:

The rooms are in desperate need of renovating...I only chose to pay the extra for the premier inn due to the free wifi and proximity to EV chargers and tonight I would benefit from the "premier" experience as I am using it to reduce my commute to uni. But quite frankly the travel lodge on the other side of the road is cheaper, with nicer quality furniture and friendlier staff. I already have 3 more weeks worth of booking to go through but seriously considering swapping back to the travel lodge after that.

Avoid meal deal trap!
Pros:

Stayed for 3 nights and bought the meal deal... don't bother with the food. Lots of things out of stock on the menu (for the whole 3 days!)

Expecting typical premier inn food but over all not good at all, one example, ordered soft boiled eggs, only to receive them virtually raw! Second lot rock hard!
Items on evening menu out of stock the whole time, even though they push the meal deal offer!

Advertises free wifi, but wouldn't work for the duration of our stay.

Good location, just a few miles to Askham Bar park & ride, great for York centre.

Hotel very tired, in need of an overhaul, especially bathrooms.

Overall clean and staff great, friendly and welcoming.

If you don't bother with the food and just want a base then it's fine, but having visited many a Premier Inn over the years, this was the poorest, nothing Premier about this one! Shame as the staff are lovely.

Staff lovely , don't stay for dinner!
Pros:

Whilst the reception team and serving staff were very good, the evening food left a lot to be desired. Serving frozen fruit as a dessert was not acceptible. A quick whizz in a microwave was the least they could have done. The steak was completely rubbery and the scampi looked anaemic.

Overnight stay
Pros:

We booked a table at the restaurant for 4 of us as we were being joined by 2 local friends who live locally. ( We are from Kent)
We booked for 6pm. Our friends were delayed slightly as they were waiting for their daughters dog to be collected. At 6.15 the waitress told us she couldn't take our order now until 7.30 as we were outside our time bracket. The chef would be too busy. There were 7 persons including my husband and I in the restaurant. Our friends arrived at 6.20. Sadly we had to just sit until 7.30 on the dot to have our order taken. I think the service we received was abysmal. We stay in premier inns often but we found Paisley in Scotland had gone down hill also when premier inn took over the brewers fayre that was adjacent. I would now only book if there is an independent pub/restaurant in the vicinity.

Mostly good
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was okay but a big empty space where a soft/bed would normally be. Had to pay for WiFi capable of streaming. I really do expect to have free WiFi in a hotel.
Room was a bit hot and no air conditioning. If I opened the window the noise from the passing motorway kept me awake.
Bathroom had no walkin shower and the bathroom had a slake sweat odour.
Food was standard Premier Inn fare so good but nothing special. Breakfast was served rather than buffet style.

Would recommend and stay here again.
Pros:

Absolutely fantastic care over my son’s allergies at mealtimes, providing separate cutlery to ensure no cross contamination, without me requesting this. Allergy menu available every meal. The room was clean and comfortable with ample space for 2 adults and 2 young children. Bathroom had a lot of areas of rust and damp spots but was clean and i couldn’t say this as a negative, just area for improvement.

Needs a bit of TLC
Pros:

Free parking (always a bonus ) Next to McDonald's if you fancy a quick bite to eat. Easy check in. Room basic and could do with a lick of paint but clean and fine for a couple of nights and very quiet despite being on a busy road. Breakfast disappointing small portions not really worth the price

A decent stay
Pros:

Was very nervous to stay here after reading the reviews but we had a lovely couple of nights. The food in the restaurant, both for evening meals and breakfast was very good, the pizzas in particular were very tasty. Staff all friendly enough, and room nice and clean. Yes, the bathroom was run down and patched up but it did the job. The only complaint I have is that the people in the room upstairs were like a herd of elephants from midnight onwards, no clue what they were doing but it did affect our sleep the first night. Not the hotel's fault.

Damp and smelly family room.
Pros:

Room 7 a family room was damp and smelly. Horrible will not return. My clothes still felt damp when I got home the next day and unpacked. We arrived late and left early. It was a stopover on a longer journey.

Good Value well appointed room
Pros:

Happy to recommend this Hotel. The staff are friendly and the room was nice and clean. The room had air conditioning and a bath which isn't always the case with premier inn hotels. The breakfast was cooked to order so was nice and hot.

Worst premier inn
Pros:

The worst premier inn we have ever stayed at. Lift not working, poor service, if any, as very short staffed. Unable to accommodate our family for breakfast or evening meal even through booked 7 months previous and paid for.

Don’t stay here
Pros:

The worst night sleep I think I’ve ever had. The air con sounded like someone digging up the road. But if you open the window you’re next to a dual carriageway. The bed was lumpy. Dirty marks / splashes up the walls. Just grubby. Marks on bedding. Just an awful night. Oh and we couldn’t connect to the wifi even with a paid for pass
