stayed there on friday 14th till Sunday 16th in room 2 and left my husband’s Barbour scarf and hat as rushed out to transport for airport
can u let me know if it’s there and i can get it picked up by family
Hotel entrance dirty, uninviting.the whole hotel needs painted upgraded. Disgusting. I have stayed in many a Premier inn and this is by far worst.never again.
Stayed here the night before starting the west highland way. 2nd stay at this hotel and both times were great. Comfy room, nice and clean and a great breakfast in the morning. Staff could not have been more helpful. Only a short walk up to the town and the start of the way. Would definitely stay here again
I had mushrooms growing in my room. I discovered it in the morning of departure (just one night stay). When I told the lady in the reception all I got was, "Yeah, sorry about that, I'll talk to maitnenace". I also contacted customer service, they said they were sorry about my experience and then told me to take it up with Expedia. I will not stay at the Premier Inn Milngavie again
Stayed here one night , lifts were out of order but Gemma puts us on the ground floor.
We found her to be very cheerful and chatty as well as informative, credit to Premier.
Sang the praises of food unfortunately we did not par take as had eaten. Oh well.
Rooms as what the expectations are, clean well maintained with soaps, teas and coffees with kettle and TV, also batteries in remote control.
Lovely place .clean and comfortable with a great bed. Asked for and got ground floor room as both mobility problems.very kindly treated with care taken to check room was good enough for our meeds
Staying prior to WHW. Swift, friendly check-in from reception guy/ room was fine / excellent cooked breakfast with good service, nice lady.. well done
Arrived. No one on reception. Waited 15 minutes for someone to arrive, when he did his shirt was hanging out of his trousers and he looked disheveled. This was followed by you can't have breakfast until 10.30. I told him my business meeting was at 11am he didn't care. The room was dirty. Pubic hair in the shower and on the toilet rim. Disgusting. Not even a glass in the bathroom to rinse your mouth out after you brush your teeth. Quite simply after 40 years of staying in hotels this one goes down as one of the worst. I'm cancelling my booking in the morning and going to relocate in central Glasgow. Don't stay here folks it's the pits.
This hotel could use some deep cleaning. There was a severe black mould problem in the bathroom, the carpet was filthy, and the mattress had a very odd odor.
Hotel was lovely, as expected. The restaurant is horrible, eat any where but here! Food was below average quality and quantity. Dried burnt and not as the menu described. The ladies washroom was a mess. 2 toilets out of order, one unflushable and full of waste,1 covered with fecal matter and 1 usable but no toilet paper.
Had booked this hotel for the night before my wedding so me & my best man could get ready in here & travel along the road to Boclair house. Upon checking in we were told my best man’s room had a leak which is unavoidable but he was placed in a disabled access room on the ground floor & my room was 1 up. His room smelled of damp & is in dire need of a lick of paint. The WiFi is horrific. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is also in dire need of a revamp. If it weren’t for the lovely woman on shift that night we would have walked out & went elsewhere (04/09/25). At £107.99 a night I expected better than what we experienced.
Great location to start the West Highland Way. Staff and accommodation were the perfect combination for a great start to our walk.
This was a great stay for the night before hiking the west highland way. Although the outside and adjoining facilities look rundown, the room itself was very pleasant, and the check-in staff were friendly, warm, and inviting. Best bedding of the entire trip!
Room was filthy and so was bathroom. No staff on desk we had to wait around for 20 mins. Food wasn’t up to standard for premier inns I’ve stayed at before. The walls in the bedroom was filthy there was plaster falling from ceiling. Absolutely shocking experience. We will not stay there sgaim
Unfortunately this hotel seems to be in need of a total refurbishment. The staff are lovely, however the hotel is starting to look shabby. The bathroom smelled damp and the room thermostat didn’t seem to work. The room was boiling all night at 27 degrees which made my daughter so ill she was unable to attend the family party we had come 250 miles for. It was only 14-15 degrees outside. This begs the question of was the heating on?
The restaurant was shabby and half closed. Again, staff were lovely but they ran out of several items for the cooked breakfast to the extent that on our final day they were only offering continental- when we had paid for cooked.
All in all, I have stayed here many times but won’t be back until it has improved. For £100 per night plus breakfast I will find a better deal.
Comfortable room 200, handily by the lift, comfortable bed, okay breakfast. However the premises could do with being spruced up, notably the building exterior and the restaurant. We were let down by our room having been forgotten by housekeeping on day of arrival, though the duty staff rallied round quickly. We are fans of Premier Inn but this was a bit disappointing.
The sample photos must be a few years old, because the building façade and our room were already getting on in years. In our bathroom there were many black mold stains or something like mold on the joints. Something like that really shouldn't be there. But the food and staff were very friendly and nice. I think it's just a practical hotel to start the West Highland Way from, as we did after a very short stay. But not a feel-good vacation spot.

Ideal hotel for the start of the West Highland Walk. Comfortable rooms, friendly service. Buffet continental breakfast okay. There are a few restaurants close by. Otherwise Milngavie does not have much to offer. There's also luggage pick up.
This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. The location is great if hiking the West Highland Way as it is only about 1/2 a mile from the start. It is a typical Premier Inn. The rooms are a bit dated, but the price is good. We reserved a full breakfast for our visit, but on the morning we were there, only continental was available. It was a good continental breakfast, but I really wanted something more before starting our hike.
We booked as we were attending a wedding nearby. The hotel has reasonable prices. There was ample parking and it was quiet. We booked for early check in but this wasn't something reception appeared aware of or had prepared for albeit we got our room without issue when this was clarified. The rooms are dated. The bed was very comfy but there's repairs needed in rooms, some things looking a bit worn. It was clean though. The temperature in the room was unbearable. It was so hot overnight and there's no means of cooking this down particularly when the windows only open a little bit.
We booked in for breakfast the next day. It seems this was not staffed properly and was disorganised chaos. Lots of dirty tables with plates on them. The cooked breakfast came out quick. Continental breakfast was fine too, but bread was stale. It wasn't awful, just very basic.
I wouldn't rush back here again and would likely only book if there was nowhere else.
