First time at a Premier Inn, a great surprise.
Pros:

Well what a surprise having never stayed in a Premiere inn before I really didn’t know what to expect. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception who was the duty manager “Danny” who was most helpful in every way possible. We were both very impressed with this hotel, everything was as advertised, a good bed, nice room and breakfast but most of all great value and super friendly staff. Will you use Premier inns again? We definitely will.

Do not stay in Room 1!
Pros:

We are regular visitors to Liverpool and choose this premier inn on a regular basis. It's in a great location for most things in Liverpool and is usually a reasonable price.
Most of the time we have been fortunate to get a view overlooking the dock.
This time we were allocated room 1 which is on Level M.
This room overlooks the main entrance to the hotel and is one of the noisiest rooms we've ever stayed in. All night there were people arriving, but also deliveries of stock and laundry being collected and returned to the hotel.
I would advise any one checking in to refuse rooms 1-5 as you will not get a good night's sleep.

Good overnight stay
Pros:

Good overnight stay in a refurbished Premier Plus accessible room. Very modern, clean and great wet room. The air conditioning was new, which provided good heat.

It's a big hotel and I thought it was disappointing there is no bar/lounge area or evening meals offered. Luckily, there is a really nice Toby Carvery next door.

We paid £15 for early check-in upon booking. Room was not ready when we arrived. The male receptionist said it was not guaranteed, it did not say this in the email, so make sure you get your £15 back if your room is not ready.

It's a pity time ago Premier inn was lovely
Pros:

Dear Sirs, I booked by phone directly with premier inn, 3 doubles rooms and 1 single room, this last room interconected with one of the others rooms,Breakfast included.
we had 4 doubles rooms not conected , we had to pay for the breakfast for 7 pax, because in the reservation the hotel said that they didn't have the information about the breakfast included. so we have paid + 195,86 pounds. And the last thing is that nobody says to us that you have to annonce at the reception if you want cleanservice. so nobody get the new towels, neither the WC clean. the reservation was made by telephone and one room was at my name and the other tree rooms at aa, bb cc. really dificult to find them by the checking service.Really incredible!

Bad experience
Pros:

I was charged £200 for a side room with no access to open air worse than a cell in prison!! This room was not worth more than £50/night! The room is interior with the window in the room is fake! The fan in the air conditioner was noisy with unbearable loud sounds and should have been replaced long time ago. The spare pillows were smelling sweat! I had to use the bathroom towels to sleep. I was tired and honestly thought if I make a foss in the reception I get no more than more misery and if you change my room you will still push this room on someone else! This was my unfortunate stay on the 29 November 2025 in this hotel.

Excellent location
Pros:

Great location, about a 7/8 minute walk to London Bridge station and 2 minutes from Borough Market. There are lots of food options nearby, and a Tesco Express around the corner.

The room was clean and the facilities were decent. I didn't get breakfast but there was also coffee station near reception and a snack machine.

The check-in staff were great and very friendly. The hotel is down a small alleyway but it felt safe for me as a female solo traveller.

I would stay at this location again!

Nice comfortable stay
Pros:

Great location, comfortable room although missed having a bath but shower cubicle a great size.
We couldn’t see out of the window as room was up in the eves and window very high!
The bar area was busy and had a nice atmosphere compared with other Premier Inns.
We only stayed one night for a show which was at the Venue and in walking distance

Poor accommodation
Pros:

There was only one good point about this Inn ie location it is so close to the Arena.
It was worn dated and extremely cold in our room 202 2nd floor we had to get into bed fully clothed to stay warm.Very disappointed as we have stayed in all the Premier Inn in Liverpool now and this was the worst. We have stayed in Premier Inn all over the country and find that they have cut down on staffing the Inn that's why we did not go down to reception and complain.Never go back there we are going to start booking other hotels now .

Uncharacteristically poor.
Pros:

Cold.
Heating not working, no extractor fan.
No indication that food & drink service stopped at 10pm.
Very poor value for money, especially as this was an annual (birthday) trip to London to see a band.

We usually enjoy a great stay at Premier Inns, but this was pretty grim compared to previous trips.

Compact Room with everything you need.
Pros:

Helpful staff as expected from a Premier Inn. The room is compact, but is clean & comfy and has everything you need.
Booked breakfast for 9:30. It was very hectic, but the staff were on it keeping everything stocked up.

Excellent stay and can't wait to return
Pros:

I stayed at Premier Inn Algate for a work trip.

After a long journey, I was checked in very quickly by a lovely man. First impressions of the hotel upon entering were great. It's really welcoming, warm and clean.

My room was on the fifth floor. It was a Premier Plus room. I'm not sure I booked a Plus room or it was an upgrade, but it was superb. It was huge, with views of the shard. The bed was massive with clean, crisp linen and very comfortable indeed.

The room also had a lounge chair, desk and chair and wardrobe.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an iron and ironing board which I needed to use. It saved me a trip to reception.

A coffee machine was a lovely touch, as was two mini chocolate bars and water in the mini fridge.

The bathroom was large with a bath. The shower gel and handwash felt luxurious.

I had dinner in the restaurant. I've never come across a steak restaurant within a Premier Inn before. I chose a burger with a mushroom and truffle mayonnaise and fries. Service was good in the restaurant and the food was tasty. Before my meal, they offered a small bowl of popcorn on the table. The popcorn was covered with beef (maybe?) flavouring, and although this isn't something I'd usually go for, I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a few bites.

Breakfast the following day was superb. Buffet style and plentiful. The cooked selection was hot and quality produce. It had a really nice and relaxed ambience in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The Dirtiest Premier Inn I Have Ever Stayed In!!
Pros:

The dirtiest Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in!!! On arrival at 11pm after 5 hrs driving we just settled straight into bed.
I’m not the type to inspect hotel rooms on arrival.
Next morning whilst getting ready we realised how filthy the room was. The settled dust must have been 3-6 months old at least. Dirty cups and dirty bathroom floor. At one point I sneezed (probably from the dust) and you could see dust fly up everywhere!
My stepson suffers with allergies and ended up having a nosebleed it was so bad.
The shower leaked which meant we had to use our towels to mop up the soaking wet and very dangerous floor.
Not one to complain we left for the day at 11am and I asked at reception kindly if we could have our room cleaned and some replacement towels. Receptionist agreed and wrote the request down. When we got back around 9pm the room hadn’t been cleaned and the towels hadn’t been changed.
I reported the whole situation to reception who gave me clean towels and explained they would report to the hotel manager the following morning.
When I spoke to the hotel manager the following morning she said the only complaint reported back was that I had requested a room clean which hadn’t taken place - no communication regarding the reason for requesting a room clean and how bad it was.
Staff communication at this hotel is very poor, they show little sympathy and this is by far THE DIRTIEST PREMIER INN I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!
I stay in various Premier Inn hotels around 6 times a year.
Not worth £190 for 2 nights
Not even worth £40 a night!
We get married next year at a nearby wedding venue and have listed this hotel to over 90 guests on our invitations. Following our visit last weekend we will be contacting all our invited guests and suggesting they AVOID this hotel and stay somewhere clean!
