No indication that food & drink service stopped at 10pm.
Very poor value for money, especially as this was an annual (birthday) trip to London to see a band.
We usually enjoy a great stay at Premier Inns, but this was pretty grim compared to previous trips.
I was attending an event in Brixton so the location couldn't have been better, just around the corner from the tube station. It was pretty quiet as it was a Monday night. The room was one with a fridge and coffee machine, so slightly more expensive. It was a good size and had a really comfortable feel. Very clean throughout. The bathroom was OK, but the pressure on the shower was pretty normal for these hotels. I didn't have much to do with the staff, just check in, and they were efficient and friendly. My only gripe was that there were no windows that could be opened, and I like to have an open window sometimes, but I suppose they have their reasons.
Room was clean and very quiet, location is just across from the electric Brixton for a concert we were attending and a 5 minute walk from tube.
Great area, near transit, Electric Avenue.
I was looking for somewhere to stay just out of central London, that was easy to get to and comfortable for one night. This was ideal. You know what you are getting with a Premier Inn and it was easy to check in, the room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Which is ideal for switching off after a hectic day.
The breakfast was good, with a small dining room, but not too busy at all and an easy check out.
This was an ideal location, being only a few tube stops from where I needed to be and the price was really reasonable.
I'd looked at quite a few other hotels, but I'm really glad I chose here and will definitely book in again next time I need to stay over for work.
The hotel was excellent from arrival to departure. The hotel room was very clean. The hotel was quiet at night. The food excellent and service very good.
Well…. Not the best premier Inn I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and quiet however It was incredibly hot! The aircon wasn’t kicking out cold air and couldn’t adjust it, there was a fan in the room but the inability to be able to open the windows made it feel very claustrophobic. Only stayed one night for a gig at the O2 Academy as it was very convenient but I wouldn’t want to stay longer.
Walking into the hotel the whole place had an overwhelming disgusting smell. In the corridor/stairs and reception/restaurant area. We stayed for 3 nights and were trying to hold our breath to get to the rooms without breathing to much. The bathroom was damp and moldy and also smelt (different smell) so the rooms felt like they were not cleaned properly aswell. The bed was comfy enough which is the only good thing I have to say. We had breakfast paid for, but only tried to eat the first morning. The 'hot' food was cold and the smellnfrom the corridor and reception area comes into the restaurant and is very off putting when trying to eat, making you feel like the food is bad. There were 4 of us staying (2 rooms) and none of us could figure out what the awful smell was. Only 1 person from our party tried to eat breakfast each morning. I have stayed in many premier inn's, I have never had a problem before, but would never return here and would worn people not to come!
A hot stuffy room where the windows are sealed but the climate control is broken. So no airflow at all.
I also had problems using the WiFi.
However, the room was clean and quiet.
Place was very clean, staff very welcoming, we paid for the additional breakfast, plenty of variety and everything was served hot!
Weather was very warm so staff were more than happy to offer us a fan for the room.
Will be returning when back in Brixton
First impressions werent great, had to buzz to even get into the building but didnt have to wait too long but then the reception was 2 floors up, the check in process was pretty smooth and the staff member was really nice and helpful even giving directions to the room and letting us know about the services they provide, the room was clean but the air con didnt want to warm up and there was a screen over the window so there wasnt a view to look at and the tv seemed to be temperamental with the control and even wouldnt turn off at one point, the bathroom was a bit of a let down with the shower head being broken and a bit blocked up and the toilet still had urine in it, the shower curtain didnt span the whole of the shower so the floor also got wet, we were only provided 1 towel for 2 of us (which we could have asked for more but for a double room i thought would have been self explanatory) the check out process wasnt great and the staff member behind the reception was rather rude to a couple infront of me and when i asked a simple question i got a blank stare and no response so probably wouldnt choose to stay here again
Could hear everything from the room above and next door.
Air con in effective room far too hot with no window to open
Hairdryer broken
Security door to bedrooms from reception / public space broken.
The hotel's location is close to the metro station, shops, restaurants, and bars. The breakfast is good, and especially the beds are incredibly comfortable. The rooms are well-maintained and spacious. We enjoyed our stay.
On the whole it was a good experience, usual standard for a Premier Inn. Friendly service, great breakfast choice, clean room. Probably could do with a little bit of tlc, as the bathroom needed a lick of paint, it was looking a bit tired and scuffed, but nothing major. Perfect location for all Brixton has to offer. Would definitely stay here again.
It does the job, by no means luxury but large comfortable bed and fairly clean. The room smelled a bit off and it has refrigerater or ironing board
Stayed in a premier plus room. Room was dirty and had damaged furniture. The bed was really soft and uncomfortable, not sure if it was the mattress or bed.
Parking in the area is near non-existent and it felt like entering a prison to get in. Just an all round unpleasant experience.
On the overall stay, room/bed was a good size, and equipped with everything we needed.
Steam iron, extra pillows, ironing board etc,
Great location in Brixton for Tube and shops etc.
The room was very clean as usually expected when staying at Premier Inn. Very local to most of the shops, good food and friendly staff.
We were allocated room 201.
Every member of staff obviously knows that room 201 is right next to a night club that does not stop playing VERY loud music and a DJ shouting until 2am in the morning. Premier Inn's Good Night Guarantee is impossible in room 201. Premier Inn are taking money from guests knowing that they were have to endure loud music and won't be able to sleep.
At 8pm the noise was already excessive. The window was vibrating with the noise. We had to be up early the next morning and faced the prospect of a 4 hour sleep if we were lucky.
We complained to Shana and asked to be moved to another room where we would be able to sleep. She was extremely unhelpful. She told us the hotel was full. Told us we should have requested a quiet room, evidencing the fact that she knew the room was noisy. We said we were willing to upgrade and pay more to get a decent nights sleep.
She told us the club shut at 11am. We actually went to the club to check and the doorman told us 2am. Shana had misled us.
She told us that she never deals with complaints and that it was up to head office to sort it out. It was 8pm on a Saturday, so of course no one was available on the phone number of the card she gave us. Shana did not apologise but was very abrupt. The level of customer service is appalling. We were treated very badly. We could not remain in the room because the music and DJ was incredibly disturbing, so left to find another hotel. We had booked the meal deal but were so disgusted in the way we had been treated that we did not even stay for dinner. Obviously paid for a breakfast too which we didn't have. We had the inconvenience and stress of finding a hotel late on a Saturday evening and having to pay again. Premier Inn should not take money from guests for inhabitable rooms. Staff need customer service training too.
Checked in at 5.15pm on Sat 12.7.25. We were given room 304. Walked into the corridor & room 304 & the noise from the DJ & music from the club outside was awful. So loud & noisy. Thought it was someone in the room next door at first but it’s the club outside. Went down to reception to ask to change the room. The receptionist said she would ask the Manager. The Manager said no, they are fully booked, and she gave us a card with an email to contact customer services. She said that on the website you have to request a quiet room or phone them. We didn’t/can’t see this on the website. It is not clear at all. Won’t come here again.
