Chris and John were super friendly so accommodating and helpful made my booking experience a dream. Highly recommend!!!
The only thing Premier about this hotel is the name. they have rooms with beds but that is about it. I woke up in the middle of the night by some loud racketing outside the room (103 close to the breakfast room), thought it was someone drunk coming back, but it kept on and on. After some time I went out to the reception and it was the persons in the reception doing vacuumcleaning like a grumpy teenager bumping around chairs and slamming with doors. Was so angry at that point that it took me 2 hours to get back to sleep again.
Also the toilet was not clean and when I turned over my pillow-cover it was blood stains on it from the last user.
Great stay as always, place clean and welcoming. It’s my 5th time here and will be coming back. Amazing service from Zac and Misha
Best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in
* Fantastic city centre location
* New, clean and fresh
* Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Particularly Zac who made us exceptionally welcome and could not have done more to make it an enjoyable and comfortable stay
Thanks to all of the staff. You’re all doing a great job.
The staff were absolutly lovely especially front of house and the house keepin team were very polite and helpful.
Thank you .
great location in town centre near Station aswell , room was excellent very quiet , everything you could want , but unfortunately the young lady on reception was positively hostile and very rude. shame as this is not common with premier inn usually I find the staff very nice. the one cleaner I spoke to was very nice so this was down to one unpleasant individual. overall the hotel is very good
The usual Premier Inn comfort and quiet hotel . No noise at all in the night despite being central to the town. Staff polite and efficient .We we're due to have breakfast but had to cancel due to council parking closing because of Bonfire night . Would visit again.
Arrived what seemed ok on entey to room
Then said fan in bedroom and ventilation unit whhhrrring all thw time. Have the video went and asked to.move nothing.
Stsff member gave me managers email to.complain. and customer service dis both.
Manager never bothered to reply!
Staff said oh you.want.your room.cleaned? What has happened to premier inn.
No.opening windows room.was like a sauna even with ventilation unit in bedroom!!
Poor customer not even service!!
Four of us had breakfast at Premier Restaurant and it was lovely. Service was perfect many thanks to Cris the Manager. Also thanks to Simon who is always so friendly and helpful, also Ali and Sue who always are attentive. Will definitely go back again as you can’t beat their friendship and also prices.
My husband and I have stayed in many Premier Inns around the country but found this one to be the exception to the usual. The staff were extremely efficient very friendly and helpful. Our orders in the Thyme restaurant for breakfast were taking at our table and so freshly cooked and delicious. We were served by Chris who asked if we had plans for the day. We said we planned to explore as it was our first visit to Lewes and it was our 57th wedding anniversary. To our surprise and delight we returned to our room after a lovely day to find a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, two glasses and a card!!! Thank you Chris and Premier for this very unexpected but amazing and special gesture. It was a wonderful addition to our very enjoyable weekend in Lewes.
Good location
Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. No dedicated parking. 2 hours max pay and display next to hotel, free after 5pm
A great team work at this Premier Inn. Arriving at 7 pm the reception was excellent. The person on duty gave us all the information about parking times and charges (the hotel doesn't have its own carpark), and the catering on offer until 10.30 pm.
Breakfast was more than adequate, with cooked or continental breakfast available until 10.30 am.
All the team were welcoming and keen to be of service.
I highly recommend the Premier Inn in Lewes Town Centre.
To Room Service / Hotel Management:
It is essential that the kettle in the room be thoroughly cleaned of any chemical residues from recent maintenance. After boiling water and preparing coffee, the resulting taste is unpleasant and acidic, rendering the beverage undrinkable. I kindly request that this matter be addressed as a priority to ensure the appliance is safe and suitable for use. I feel nauseous all evening after this.
I stayed at the Premier Inn, Lewes town centre for one night in Sept 2025. It was very convenient for access to cafes and antique shops in the centre. The car park next door is not part of the Premier Inn but as I arrived on a Sunday parking is free until 9am on Monday. Very comfortable room. I did not have any meals there as I was going to a party and had planned to go out for breakfast. There was a power cut around 11:30 pm but power was restored in around 20 mins. Staff at reception were helpful with my WiFi connection. The price with add ons for early check in, faster WiFi and charity donation was not cheap but I would go back
Fein provided exceptional service. He was kind and very helpful and went above and beyond in assisting me. I was on my own with a hip injury, which makes it painful to walk. He didn’t make mention of it and helped me carry dinner items to my room.
Do not stay here if for Business, The WI-FI is slow and even upgraded to the (so Called) ultimate WI-FI for a charge of an extra £5 per day!!!
Think Premier inn on the whole has to think about advertising for Business customers, you can go to much cheaper (better) places, AirA&B, local Public Houses and other Hotels just outside of Lewes where the WI-FI is secure and better, also cheaper.
I stayed for 3 nights at a cost off over £450, Beds Comfy, quietness good, Did not try the food (breakfast is not included in the price), More people were getting Take way's then eating in, Parking is at a extra price!!
Should the reception now ask the customer, if they would like the room cleaned each day, rather than the customer asking for it to be cleaned?
Not good overall, Premier Inn needs to put the Premier part back into the hotel rather than just the name!!!
This hotel is in the town and very convenient for the train station and for buses, so the journey by public transport to Brighton couldn't be easier. The hotel is located by a public car park which has EV chargers just at the bottom of the steps to the hotel, but be warned that there is a market on some Saturdays, so parking is restricted at these times. There is, however, an NCP carpark less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel and at £5.50 per day is reasonably priced. Hotel staff are happy to advise about parking. The room was quiet and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Kettle etc in the room and tea bags, coffee and milk are downstairs in the reception.
We booked the Lewes Town Centre hotel as we were attending a wedding locally at Pelham House, a great venue, a very special occasion, the wedding of 2 very close friends and colleagues.
We arrived (an overall party of 6) and after checking more than once before travelling we were promised a) that we could use a room to change in as it was not possible to check in early unless we paid £15 per room and b) that we could leave our overnight bags in a secure location at the hotel whilst we were at wedding.
On arrival there was no welcoming good morning greeting from the 3 staff chatting in the restaurant area (frankly, it seemed as if we were inconveniencing them by disturbing their chat) and we were told that no room was available to change in but "we could use the toilets".
After we had changed, the 3 staff were nowhere to be found, we tried but could not locate a staff member to arrange the storage of our overnight bags. We tried the buzzer on the reception desk several times, walked to the ground floor and checked the restaurant area – no one to be seen? As a result, and because there were no spaces to park overnight in the adjacent NCP, we had to drive and park Lewes Train station and bring our bags back with us after the wedding - a 10-minute walk not ideal with 2 heavy bags. Given that the staff were aware that we wanted to leave our bags I cannot comprehend why they would all disappear and not be available to assist?
The room itself was ok but with not option to open a window, even slightly, it was very stuffy. The shower was good, but the TV was just a fuzzy picture on every single channel (photo below) the WIFI signal was weak and erratic and there were very basic quantities of 2 tea bags and 2 coffee sachets with limited choice. No fruit or herbal teas, no decaf options…………very basic.
Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our experience, sadly the staff did nothing to enhance the reputation of the hotel, and we will not be rushing to return anytime soon
Nice hotel and well located in centre of town with lots of food options nearby. Short walk to the train station at Lewes. Hotel very quiet but that suits us perfectly now.
We stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby so just needed somewhere clean to sleep and have breakfast. Premier Inn delivered on that basis- it was also helpful to have the early check in at 11am, the bed was super comfy and the breakfast was very good with a range of options. Downsides were the parking. The parking behind the hotel is max 2hrs so we had to park at the station carpark for 24hours (which runs out at 4am the following day) and then remember to top it up for another 24 hours. I would say the station is a 10 min walk. The other minor downside is that they forgot to put another bath towel in the room- even though we had booked for 2 people...I managed to find a cleaner in the corridor to sort it out, however.
Overall great value for money and great location!
