Absolutely brilliant hotel ,location spot on for the wmc ,bed Absolutely comfortable, staff really friendly and welcoming and accommodating spotlessly clean room and I'm happy as in my last review I mentioned the TV and this time the bed is facing the TV .Thankyou premier inn for a great night's stay and I look forward to booking with you again in the future .
Everything was as you expect a premier Inn to be. Car Park was heaving with people going to the football match just parking anywhere. Check in was a little slow but that was due to everyone arriving at the same time. The poor receptionist did not have time to breathe. Otherwise a good stay.
Perfect location for the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Bay.
Reasonably priced parking at the adjoining Q Park.
Typical Premier Inn set-up - we had a great night's sleep!
Had an excellent sleep. Beds really comfy.
Lovley staff.
Beverley on reception was brillant.
Ask for a room clean half way through the week, come back from my course and everything was 'spick and span'.
Premier Inn are always our “go to” if spending a couple of days away from home. Cannock South, is probably one of the ones awaiting their update. It is seems old fashioned and dated but still clean and staff helpful and friendly which is exactly what you want. Due to the time of year it could be there seem to be more tradesman/workmen staying than tourist but again fair play they need to diversify their income and no complaints from this end
Had a great stay , and Beverley was a nice lady and very helpful , definitely would recommends to friends and family, the food was very nice , the hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable
A clean and tidy room and bathroom and Bev was very helpful and kind would defo come back again and would definitely recommend to others
I have put this on here to make people aware of Premier Inn 'sleep guarantee.
We stayed at the Cardiff Bay site on 31/10 and 1/11. Our first night has to be said was the worst night sleep we have ever encountered - we always look forward to our decent sleep and with your 'good night guarantee sleep' Premier Inn you have never failed until now.
Early hours of the morning, what we now know is something to do with the extractor fan came on and stayed on with a rather loud annoying fan noise, broke all of our sleep and unable to go back to sleep. Although we flagged this with the very helpful lady in the morning at reception and she was very accommodating - will get maintenance guy on it. Our day was shortened and ruined as we were all so tired.
The helpful lady offered us a free breakfast to say sorry - although this was a lovely gesture, £21 doesn't quite cut the room we paid for to have a guaranteed sleep. As a result the maintenance couldn't repair it and would need to move us for our 2nd night eventually - which we did.
I written 2 emails with no response, even well over the time frame to contact back, so I made a call.
In the duration of the call, I did explain that I have never had an issue with Premier Inn before.
As a result of the call I wouldn't be entitled to a refund for the lack of sleep - even though that is your tag line and guarantee, because I didn't raise the issue in the first instance!!!!
Really?? Come on Premier Inn!
At 1:30AM you would want me to go and find a member of staff to complain to that maybe capable of resolving the issue (that we know now there was no resolution) early hours - and do what? So in the first instance of raising this issue would be at a reasonable hour at breakfast time - to say we didn't raise it in the first instance is ridiculous (we didn't go about our weekend and then complain). We went to reception before our breakfast at approx 8:30am. As mentioned before, even if the maintenance had come and looked at the issue early hours of the morning, the facts would still remain the same, that it was irreparable and they needed to get a contractor in to repair it and they couldn't move us to another room as hotel full to capacity (which we were told when raising), so the issue still wouldn't have been resolved if raised earlier or not.
I have sent a further email fao the manager of the guest relation team - no response.
Would be lovely for you to at least acknowledge the emails sent.
A lovely stay here at the premier inn. Very clean room, very modern and the service was excellent. Nice and quiet too.
Will defo be back again.
The room was very clean and although on the smaller side, a typical premier inn room. However, when we turned all the lights off we realised that intermittently two bright green flashes were coming from the ceiling smoke detector. This was positioned right above the bed and was bright enough to disrupt sleep - you could still see the flashes with your eyes closed. It was exacerbated by the black out curtains doing their job too well so literally no other light was in the room to diffuse brightness of the flashes. You say you guarantee money back if your guests don't sleep, but when I talked to reception at checkout to tell them I thought there was a fault, they brushed it off saying "no, that's standard now, loads of guests have complained and we fed it back to Head office and they haven't come back to us. We can't turn it off, we're told it's health and safety..." They were apologetic enough but not proactive and I while I wouldn't want to jeopardise safety, I would question why it was positioned right over the bed and not in the corridor by the bathroom, a little more discreetly. Our sleep was rubbish - we ended up getting up and leaving at 6.30am to head home instead of staying for breakfast as we were so fed up. If you're planning to book this one, bring some blue tack to cover the LEDs and don't assume their good night sleep guarantee is comprehensive.
nice location and friendly staff
Booked a Premier Room at this Premier Inn. Lovely, clean and relaxing with a very comfortable bed. Added bits in room like a coffee pod machine, chocolate and bottle of water.
The staff are brilliant. From a friendly welcome at check-in to the very helpful bar staff and waitresses.
We booked a meal deal, paid a bit extra for steak which was really tasty and better than some independent restaurants I have eaten in. Everybody in our group were happy with their meals.
Great location for Carlisle City Centre (at the weekend you can use the Cumbria House Council Office car park - very reasonable for city centre) and Gretna Outlet (some good bargains)
Keep up the good work, I wish all the Premier Inns were like you!
Fantastic experience at this premier inn, even though the taxis weren’t running at that time it was only a short walk from the town centre as long as you aren’t lazy 🤩
Excellent hotel really good value, fast and efficient check in from Brian, clean rooms what more can you ask. Restaurant next door is also really good all staff are excellent.
Friendly attentive staff, efficient check in, cosy & clean rooms.
Food at the restaurant was spot on & the staff were great too!
The room was a tidy size for me and my husband, the room was booked for 2 people but only had 1 bath towel, also found a hair in the bathroom. There was also thick dust all around the skirting boards as if the room hadn't been dusted for days. Apart from that the staff were friendly.
We booked the assisted room in preparation for my husband who was having surgery locally. Room very well equipped including emergency pull cord...which within 5 minutes my husband pulled the cord instead of light ! Within seconds Beverly (staff member) was at our room to ensure we were OK. Beverly has been incredibly helpful in many ways especially pointing out an error I had made with my booking . Nothing was too much trouble for her and made the stay very comfortable and stress free
Corporate free-fall and spin in clear evidence once more.
First thing, this ain’t in the centre of Carlisle by ANY measure…more than a mile to walk and closer to fields than to the High Street.
Second…be aware that within Premier Inn Group hotels, food times vary from location to location…
I arrived just after 2100 only to be told kitchen closed despite previous night in same chain food available to order up to 2130.
On the subject of food…shrinkflation is hitting very hard in the quantity department!
Unless you order sides you are unlikely to fill the tank up with the paltry offerings.
Oi, Premier Inn management…you are aware we NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE right?
Rooms fine, but in room refreshments dwindling and apparently this is another business that seems to want me to act as an unpaid employee with staff clearly cut to the bone.
Incidentally, the Station Hotel right in the heart if the city would have been FAR cheaper per room!
Will actively resist using again even though my employer has a contract with the group.
We have stayed in 5 different hotels this year and it was the best we have stayed in ,the staff was and are away brilliant even though I think they was short started you wouldn't have known because they worked so hard and never stopped. They all deserve a great Christmas party
Great location and the car park is right next to the hotel. Room was clean as was the bathroom. The curtains didn't let any light in so a good night's sleep is assured.
The breakfast buffet was kept well stocked, even at the busy period and is recommended especially if you have kids as they eat free!
