Checked in and asked for a walk in shower. The rooms apparently all have a bath with a shower and curtain to pull. The only rooms with a walk in shower are disabled rooms so if you have any difficulty getting in to a bath you need to book a disabled room.
There is only one chair in the room on which to sit. We had to joggle between the dressing table and moving further back to watch tv. My husband watched from the chair. I had to perch in front of the tv on the edge of the bed. All in all it felt like camping. Not our usual experience of premier inns which we use frequently.
On the plus side the staff are lovely. The position is good. And so is the restaurant.
Very disappointed as we are stuck here for 4 nights now.
We really enjoyed our stay at Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre (St. Enoch Square). Friends recommended it as it is so convenient for Glasgow central station and where we wanted to visit.
The room, restaurant and everywhere else in the hotel were spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, perfect for our needs.
... in the centre of Glasgow plus only a few minutes walk from the main train station. Two car parks are very close by as well. Our standard room was clean with the expected amenities including a strong shower.
We took breakfast this time around which had a wide range on offer - fruit, yoghurt, usual english breakfast, muffins, croissants, soft drinks, tea etc and was worth the £12 price tag.
We will stay here again when in Glasgow.
Arriving late evening we were pleased to receive a lovely, warm and friendly welcome from Yana on Reception. She was helpful and keen to ensure our stay would be comfortable.
Our bathroom was clean but disappointingly there was a small spill near the kettle that should have been wiped, and the bits on the carpet indicated a lack of attention with the vacuum cleaner.
Arriving for breakfast, I inadvertently gave the man supposedly tasked with seating us the room number from our previous night’s hotel. He was extremely rude and unpleasant; the woman who was working alongside him was little better. We were not criminals seeking a free meal, I had made a simple mistake, soon corrected. This individual badly needs training in good manners and customer care.
Great hotel, centrally located.
Always a warm welcome from reception staff who are very helpful.
Opted to add the meal deal breakfast & dinner which is outstanding value, Great quality food, and again Great service
Have stayed here a few times and always happy with it. On Wednesday I stayed again and used restaurant for breakfast. One of the guys working there was obviously in a bad mood cos his attitude was terrible. While I was paying for my breakfast a family with two young kids came in and immediately made their way to a table, not knowing this guy needed to seat them, first of all he shouted over to them to wait at desk, when they didnt hear him he said to the have some patience... he brought me to my seat then, I then charged my phone at a plug area across from my table, when I asked him could I move to that table, he just said no and kept walking. In a hotel staff are supposed to be people friendly, this guy certainly wasnt. His colleague on the day was the polar opposite, a very friendly person and the other lad should take a leaf out of his book
The location of this Premier Inn suited us perfectly. The car parking, whilst not on site was literally immediately across the street about 50 metres away. We had 2 rooms as a family and it would have been nice to have them close to each other (at least on the same floor), but despite being on the same booking this wasn't possible (although staff did try to arrange this without being prompted). For a single night stay this didn't really matter to us.
Breakfast was excellent and staff really helpful and friendly.
Clean and tidy despite being a busy hotel.
Considering what we paid, very happy.
Good hotel, clea , staff helpful. Gud location. Only slight negarive was maybe some noise, possibly for a delivery early on the Sunday morning but it didnt spoil our stay.
Loved this hotel.
I regularly choose Premier Inn when I travel, as they do so well at keeping the brand experience level across all sites/cities. If the system works well, then I'll keep coming back.
I was coming to Glasgow for a short break with the good lady wife, so once we'd scoped out what we wanted to do during our time away, I looked for a hotel that had all of the things we needed to make the trip easy.
St Enoch Square was perfect for us. The subway is literally just across the road, and bus stops less than a minutes walk from the hotel door. We used the bus on the first day, to get to the Kelvingrove Museum, unfortunately as we didn't know the bus services very well, the return trip turned into a magical mystery tour, as we'd got on the wrong bus back. My fault entirely, didn't understand the bus app, took a punt, sort of got it right, but there were roadworks which diverted us away from our route back in, and the driver forgot to tell us where we needed to get off.
After that experience, I decided to forget the buses, and just stay on trains, this served us well.
The hotel itself, as with most Premier Inns, you usually get a great nights rest. The beds are always comfortable, there is always extra pillows, and the rooms are usually spotless. This place ticked all those boxes.
The adjoining dining area, the Bar & Block Steakhouse served up great evening meals, with lovely waiting staff. Only downside for me, the bar shut at 11pm, one night I got back from the evenings entertainment at about three minutes past eleven, and couldn't get a quick pint in before bed. Gutted!!
All round, we had a great time in Glasgow, and would highly recommend St Enoch as a great hub for all your needs.
Thank you for looking after us so well ❤️
The room was nice and big and clean. It would have been nice if it also had a fridge, but that wasn't a huge drawback. What I really didn't like was the bathtub - the inside was very narrow (almost the width of an airplane seat) and was about a foot higher than the bathroom floor, so you had to be careful when stepping out, and there was no way to bath without feeling crushed inside the tub. For showering it was fine. The bed was comfortable. The location was great, for proximity to the two Glasgow train stations, plus the underground was just steps away (St Enoch station). The breakfast buffet had the same items, but for 11GBP the price was reasonable and on-par with what you'd pay in other sit downs for breakfast. There were supermarket/grocery shops within short walking distance for any snacks or beverages.
Second stay here location fantastic hotel staff well lady on check in was more bothered about a meeting she was late for than doing the check in process urmmmm room air con worked wonderfully thank god as window did not open few iffy stains on walls in room itself and what looked like snot wiped on bathroom wall which itself is vile . Breakfast well less said the better its set in a fancy bar next door it was vile i understand its a buffet but ive never had such bland flavourless food and baltic cold and tuff and dare i say it bacon in parts looked not cooked lingering aftertaste of salt and grease love a fry up but myself and girlfriend both left our food spoke to manager in resturant who thankfully refunded cost of breakfasts which is a shame as we were looking forward to it . . Both love visiting glasgow as its a wonderfull place but mayb next time will use a different hotel
The room were good friendship day are in all premier hotel the location was pretty good the restaurant down there was also got it now so only problem was the parking there is no parking if you take your private car you have to park in some public parking opposite which is very expensive
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast options were great, and being off of a busy road/walk way the hotel was very quiet.
Convenient and nice staffs. Close to train stations and shops.
Friendly helpful staff great room size and view onto St Enoch's Square really comfortable bed and convenient for city centre
Staff were very accommodating.
The hotel seems to be fairly new built, despite that it felt worn like ten years old. Surroundings are partly not the mose inviting, however close to Enoch Square that feels a bit more secure. The price/performance ratio perhaps fairly OK. Breakfast likely OK by UK standards. The atmosphere was a bit unpersonal, maybe what can be expected by a big hotel chain.
Great property. Nice staff. Very good location.
Good value hotel close to everything. It's basic but clean and comfortable and good value. Excellent bed. There was a strong disinfectant smell in the room that never really went away the 3 days I was there.
